Hi there,
Been doing a few little modifications on my 2017 Golf GTI (UK) with the OBD11 device and I decided to turn on the Intersection Light with route data. All seemed fine for a minute or two after doing so however I then found an error come up saying “error cornering lights AFS” in the car and now my cornering lights aren’t working. How do I sort this? I was trying to reset the function but nothing worked

It’s very normal, that error always occurs after you change the long coding of 4B. All you have to do now is go into the 4B module Basic Settings. Choose “Headlight basic settings” then the green button. Then go back and choose “Acknowledge basic settings” and then the green button. That applies the settings and makes the errors go away.

Thank you so much! I’ve been panicking thinking I’d have to go to VW and act dumb lol!
Also, I seem to have an error called Data Bus front light coming up... any idea what that is? It doesn’t seem to be having an affect on the car but I can’t clear the error on OBD

Interesting, which module is showing the error, 4B? If everything’s working normally then I wouldn’t worry too much. Some modules always show a data bus error code, for example my ACC module. Yet the ACC works just fine.

Everything seems to be working fine so I’m not too bothered... just annoyed I cannot clear the error code...

After i didnt this, had same error, solved it.. my lights do not do that presentation on startup like they did before this modification.
I am struggling with obd support for days - no resolution.
Any ideas? Thnx

Hmmm.. do you remember changing anything else in the long coding or the adaptations of 4B? Possibly the adaptation "Reference run start condition"? Or some other long coding values. It should work OK. Is "Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFS)" activated in the Car settings?

Hello.
Need some serious help. I’ve tinkered with the 4b module in an attempt to adjust the headlight height as they were/still are way too low. I went into adaptions and and copied the code that was already there and accepted it. The lights did a little dance Up and down but not side to side like they normally would’ve done. I then came out of the menu and tapped on basic settings but it didn’t accept it. The message read incorrect sequence.
The Dynamic Light assist, cornering light and the bending light (light beam that follows the direction of the steering) all stopped working.
If anyone managed to resolve this issue please share.
By the way I have a mk7 golf and recently changed the BCM to accommodate 7.5 front end with dynamic light assist.

Hmm, are you getting any fault codes in the 4B module, or the 09 module? Let us know and maybe that will point us in the right direction. Was is working properly before the adaptation change?
