Hi,
Hoping someone can help me figure out where I’ve gone wrong and how to correct my issues.
Vehicle is a 2004 Audi A8 D3 4.2. I am using the OBDeleven pro on iOS.
My traction control light appeared after hooking my battery back up so I attempted to clear the fault codes but the light stayed on. I had a steering angle sensor fault (implausible signal 001778) so wanted to calibrate this as this would have hopefully gotten rid of the traction control fault.
I followed a guide and attempted to go into basic settings on my brake control module and believe I may have hit reset by accident, there was no warning or confirmation so I’m not 100% sure.
I am now unable to do anything in the brake control module. The brake module states unable to get faults and failed to read long coding. Most other options in the module screen do not load, coding does load but it does not let me type anything. I’ve tried a few security access codes and all are showing as incorrect.
When entering the steering angle sensor it states control unit not responding.
The steering angle sensor fault (implausible signal 00778) appears in the chassis control unit also, but I do not want to attempt to go into these settings as I’m afraid I may cause more problems.
I am also getting the DTC code for ‘Read DTC memory of ABS CM - P1653’.
When clicking history in these modules it does bring up the scan history but all I get is the previous fault codes.
I’ve searched a lot of methods to attempt to correct the issue but none have worked for me as I cannot access anything in the brake control module or steering angle sensor.
Is someone able to help me with the above issue? I just need to get the traction control light to go out. Any help appreciated, thanks.
