My VW Passat Premium B8 (MY2016), with Active Info Display and Discover Pro infotainment. Both, WIFI (WLAN) and Apple CarPlay are enabled. I connect my iPhone with a USB cable and use the CarPlay with no issues.
I wonder if anyone, tried coding to enable Wireless Apple CarPlay use. I saw that the following code my do the job:
Discover Media/Pro - Enable Wi-Fi Streaming (MIB2) STG 5F > Customization > Channel "WLAN" > Change value to "active"
Since I do not own OBD11 yet, I could not try it.

Cannot bedone since it's a hardware issue. You need the MIB3 in your car and not the MIB2 that is installed in your car

How can one tell if you have mib3 or mib2? I have a my2018 with discovery media pro. It is the big 9.2 inch display.
