Hello, My problem is when the low beam is on, the drl lights differently bright. Left side 100%, right side about 50%. If only the drl on are both sides equal! My question now how do I encode the two drl equal brightly with dimmed light switched on? Dieter: Bossy is correct, English is more helpful here. Anyway, I hope that you can understand English (otherwise Daniel might step-in). The main DRL lamp on an RoW mk7 can have a number of Leuchte-sets depending on the equipment level, but generally the Leuchte-sets are: - Leuchte5 TFL RB32 (right side)
- Leuchte4TFL LB4 (left side)
The actual Leuchte-command for the Parking lights (what you call "DRL when the low beam is on") is Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) which is normally on : - Lichtfunktion C 5 (right side)
- Lichtfunktion C 4 (left side)
And the dimming level for the Parking lights is normally on: - Dimmwert CD 4 (right side)
- Dimmwert CD 5 (left side)
So, here is what I suggest: - Search the adaptation channels for the Leuche-sets (my first list above)
- Confirm the channels for the Leuchte-command for the Parking lights (my second list above)
- Check the dimming level on the left-side DRL lamp - Dimmwert CD 5 (my third list above)
- Apply the same dimming level to the right-side DRL lamp - Dimmwert CD 4

Hi, thanks for the quick response. But unfortunately the values of the u-lights are completely identical, the problem should be somewhere else. Someone has an idea what it could still be? Picture 1 shows the daytime running light. Picture 2 shows the steady, here you can see that they light differently bright. Picture 3 shows low beam with different bright u-lights.

Dieter: Ok I did say in my first response that the Leuchte-sets for the DRL are different depending of the style of headlights.
You have provided more (read - specific) information about the headlight fittings on your car.- the fact that you have LED double "angel eye" lamps for DRLs is important!
Assuming that you DON'T have an NAR model (given that you are a German speaking person) check these settings:
Left DRL: Leuchte2SL VLB10-Dimmwert CD 2 > factory setting is 26 Right DRL: Leuchte3SL VRB21-Dimmwert CD 3 > factory setting is 26

Hey Don, do we actually know what does he want to achieve? Can you please tell me what is the difference between NAR and Europe version? I thought every golf vii with bi-xenon has double U led angle eyes... But if you have a halogen lights this is not the case...

In germany i know there are a few different headlights, first normal halogen with halogen drl (no u lights), second xenon lights with normal halogen drl (small light package), third xenon lights with led drl (just one u light / big light package) and fourth is xenon lights with led drl and led indicator lights (two u lights / only for r golf). Everytime when car has xenon it would be bi xenon lights i thougt. Also there is a a silver, red or blue stripe inside the headlights according wich car you have, normal golf or gtd, gti, r golf or e golf.

^^^ bossy: I think that Daniel is correct - but in this instance I suspect that Dieter has inadvertently altered the dimming level for the Parking light channel on his DRL Leutch-set (right side - I believe). As I said before, the problem is that VW has many configurations for the lighting arrangements on their mk7s. The factory settings of the DRL Leuchte-sets vary with headlight fittings and they also differ with country. On Xenon/LED fittings, the NAR version has "DRL wink" included whereas the RoW version omits this function. This means that the Parking light function is allocated to a different "Alpha pair" in the two models, so finding the appropriate Dimmwert channel gets more complicated. The other problem with this forum is that there is no indication of the country-of-origin of the person writing the post. Often those writing don't say - they simply assume that everyone knows (which of course they don't). But in this case the name "Deiter" and the German language is a give-away. Anyhow, here's how the factory settings of the LEUCHTE-SET for the Left-side DRL differs between NAR and RoW - the LEUCHTE-SET for the right-side DRL has trhe same allocation of "functions" across the Alpha-pairs: Don

Where from are you getting this tables? It would be nice to have it... Does above table apply on bi-xenon double U leds? Wiki: NAR - North American Region RoW - Rest of the World

Hello, thank you for the suggestions. The dimming values of cd 2 and cd 3 were unfortunately also identical. Now I have gradually tried to increase the dimmwert cd3 and at the value 100 both u-shine brightly lit up. Now both u-lamps illuminate uniformly in the daytime running light, in the light and at dipped beam. There are also no errors occurred since the 2 values are now different. Best thanks again for the tips. My problem is solved now and now works as desired.
