Hi All,
I have just replaced the battery on my Passat 2011 2.0TDI.
I have changed the serial number in Gateway, Long Adaptation, #4. Change was accepted but OBDeleven[Pro].
However the start/stop is still not working. There are no error codes on a full scan.
Any ideas? Has the battery coding not worked?

I went to that location. The battery I have, Exide EK700, does not have the info in a sticker, so I just changed the serial number. I'd read elsewhere that this would work. I'll try the coding again. Yes, I have the same one, Exide EK700
Coding 070 TU3 0017012021 (00date~17012021)
Everything works for me

Stop/Start still not working. Still no errors logged. Battery appears to be coded correctly, as above anyway.
Stop/Start not working is a blessing in disguise for some I guess!

If all parameters are met it should work...
- engine warmed up
- outside temperature
Worked before changing the battery?
It's winter, maybe that's why...

Yeah its odd.
It only worked very occasionally before battery swap, one of the reasons I changed the battery!
All condition were met as far as I know.

He did that to me too,
now in winter conditions it doesn't work
the temperature must be in the positive +
it will work...the coding is correct

Just to update, the stop/start still wasn't working so I done another full scan:
Trouble codes:
00458 - Battery monitoring control module No signal/communication
So I had a look at the connector on the battery and whilst it looked "connected" the plug slid into the socket another 10mm or so.
Stop/start now working!
