I received my OBDeleven a few days ago and so far have been mostly pleased with the functions I have been able to amend on the car.
I have a UK spec GTi with led rear lights and automatic Xenon front lights.
Since owning the car, I have previously used the coming leaving/home function, I was keen to use the app to enable the CH/LH Lights function incorporating the fog lights.
I ran this app, it accepted and I tried the leaving home function to see the fog lights in operation.
That appears to be a one off.
Since then, I have not amended anything, the CH/LH is set to 15 secs on the dash display.
When I drive the car at night, only once but not immediately I get a small message in the drivers dash that says "Fault Automatic Headlight Control".
This disappears after a few seconds and I do not see the warning again until I restart the car, the headlights are working fine on auto despite the message.
The CH/LH function does not work at all?
I have since run a few scans on the whole systems, expecting to see the "Fault Automatic Headlight Control" to appear under Central Electrics.
This is not the case, no fault shows up and the next time I use the car in the dark, I get my "Fault" message with the headlights working fine.
It seems strange to me that the CH/LH seemed to work once to show the foglights and hasn't workd since and I now get this fault message.
Prior to using the CH/LH app, I changed rear indicators to "pace car" flashing mode and disabled the stop/start function, each of these are working as they should.
I would be grateful if anyone has any thoughts as to what has rendered the CH/LH inoperative and the appearance of this "Fault" message on the screen, but not in a scan?
Many Thanks.
