I have seen that there ae ways to change the settings for driver and passenger individually. Right now the memory is on for the driver seat and set on about 10 min for the passenger. I would like to change the driver to 10 min also. Everywhere I look I see that is control unit 8, then adaptation should come up with a menu for seat heater retention, but I only get channel selection and I dont know what channel number corresponds to this setting. Hopefully someone can translate the channel numbers for me.

I haven't found it either - 2017 Q3 SLine. I thought it was actually changing when someone was actually sitting in the passenger seat when the car was started but it seems totally random. My wife is small (115lbs) so I'm not sure if this is legit or if it is just some random thing. Sometimes it comes on automatically with the driver's side and sometimes it doesn't. If anyone has a fix for this that would be great. I'd like to have it remember the last setting or just come on full heat if it was on before the ignition was switched off.

Slightly same issue I had here, except it was trying to enable memory retention for the driver heated seat, and also in a '13 jetta tdi.
However upon much searching, it was under control unit 8(air conditioning/hvac), select adaptations. Same issue channels is blank except for "addies" which does nothing, but if I input "6" as the desired channel it shows "driver seat heating"(or something close);switching this value from 0 to 1, applying the code, removing the key, getting out, locking/unlocking the door and reignition to reset everything enabled permanent memory.
I presume value 2 under channel 6 would be the 10 min option you desire, worth a check but again perform at your own risk.
It's also worth noting the channels surrounding that of 6 also contain other values to change.
