Hi guys,
I would like coding the Lane assistent but I'm afraid to do that? I'll not destroy my control unit?
Has anybody do that according to the tutorial from here (user: adminstrator) or VCDS coding?
Some guys complaint from other boards that after the coding they have lost the Front assistent in the menue.
Stupid question:
Can I do a backup/dump from the control unit before I change anything w/ OBDeleven?

If something goes wrong, I guess you just can reverse your steps. tried to activate line assist, but appears there's no Control unit A5 (front / advance camera) in my car  |

I coded it with obd eleven on a golf mk7 gtd with coding instructions from here (mk7). Important is that your car has front camera systen. Yes you can do a backup before starting. May someone here can explain you how to do the backup. Coding for lane assist you will fimd in coding and adaptions.

I coded successfully the LaneAssist w/ my OBD11 device on my Passat B8.

As coding instruction I took the VCDS coding for the LaneAssist. This is basically all you need. You'll find tons of VCDS codings in the web or ask google like "VCDS coding passat b8". Here is a link to a german spoken board with an own VCDS thread: www.motor-talk.de/forum/sammelthread-moegliche-codierungen-mit-vcds-t5076275.htmlIn the first posting you find a link - here is an overview about all codings. Follow the instructions step by step and you'll are able to activate the LA - note: your B8 need the traffic sign recognition and DLA (dynamic light assist) -> the big camera in the windshield, otherwise it does'nt work. I tried to code the lane assist.
But with the power steering i got some troubles.
It is not possible for me to code
Byte 0
Bit 4
I get error 31
Have no clu why.
Anyone have the same problems and maybe a solution?

I have a 2017 B8 Passat from Germany, with the front camera, ACC, high beam assist, etc, so I guess I do have all the necessary HW for Lane Assist
I tried coding Lane assist following the coding listed in this forum below, but as soon as I set BIT 6 on Byte 4 (first step), the dash board displays a "Lane Assist Error" message.. I continued till the end hoping that some of the subsequent steps would resolve the issue, but no luck
Any clues?

Hi, complete newbie here.
I’m thinking of buying the OBDEleven Pro for the apps and a few tweaks. I have a 2018 Passat R Line with the DLA and traffic sign recognition camera.
I would like to add Lane Assist but I have no idea about coding.
Is it likely that OBD a Eleven will add this as an app so I can just push a button and spend some credits?
If not, how difficult is it to long code using the Pro part of the OBD Eleven considering I have never coded in my life.

Can anybody at OBDEleven make this an ‘app’ so I can just click a button, pay some credits and activate Lane Assist? I have DLA and traffic sign recognition so I should have all the necessary hardware.

I used the file from this thread which was mentioned above to activate my lane assist feature on my VW Passat B8 2015 which only had traffic sign recognition from the factory. I also used OBDEleven to activate high beam assist (aka Light Assist) with a one-click app. In the aforementioned file there are three instructions on how to activate lane assist. I used Spurhalteassistent (Lane Assist) - Freischaltung (Variante 2) as my multi-function camera is MQB_B_MFK. The last step 'STG 10 > Zugriffsberechtigung: 71679 > Codierung > Byte 03 > Bit 5 aktivieren ("Spurhalteassistent mit Lenkunterstützung verbaut")' was not applicable for my car so I skipped it altogether. |
