Does anybody know the long conding for enable/disable the ESP function? I would like to disable the ESP during the wintertime because I work in the mountains and when it snows the ESP cuts the power when my wheels skid even a little bit when driving uphill. The ESP intervenes gradually more and more until I can floor it without making any revs. The only thing that I can do at that moment is to attach snowchains (I have 2x4 drive). If I can disable the ESP I would easily keep on driving without chains. In my previous car, Seat Cordoba (that explains my nick ) there was a button on the dashboard to disable the traction control. My god, do I miss that....

As an edit to my my question I just Googled this item and came across this YouTube video that shows how ti enable/disable the ESP manually. I have to check out if this works for me because I haven't got the multifunction steering wheel with all the on-board functions on the dash. I'm curious and eager to try this out, would be even more convenient to achieve the result thus way.

Well, I just checked out this hidden feature and it seemed to be working. I followed the procedure as in the vid, and the ESP light came on. Succes...until I drove away. Then the ESP light shuts off and the system reacitvates. Bummer...

ESP stays on even if you switch your ignition on and off. 1.Brake electronics 2.Adaptation 3.Drive control mode, functional 4.Finally, Activate.
