Folks,
Greetings. First post. Novice user but I've had the dongle for about two years.
2007 Audi S4 6MT. My profile says I have the Pro version. Software version 0.31.2(10311).
I want to code in my new battery (whether or not it is necessary to do so) but the Gateway, Module 19, is not present in my list of modules. Autocode gateway list says "Show". How do I get Module 19 to appear?
Thanks and Merry Christmas to one and all,
poormxdad

You need to upgrade to v0.31.3 which has a fix for this bug.
If you are downloading from Huawei app site they have still not updated it but promise to do it soon.

OK, thanks. I have actually updated the application. I will try this evening because yesterday I did not have the adaptation item.

That's interesting. When I originally posted, I had v0.31.2. Now my Android phone says I have 0.31.3. I'll give it a try later.
Thanks,

I tried a new one, I did : control units gateway module 19
in the list I do not have the adaptation item. I have long coding, long adaptation, basic sittings, output test .... subsystems ..... no adaptation. I do not understand. is there a way to register the new battery with a coding?

Didn't work for me either. I spent 25 minutes in the car with it running. I went through the scan a bunch of times, restarted the phone twice, etc., etc. No joy. I still do not see Module 19. I followed (or tried to follow) the "Gateway Coding" tutorial from the Help function, but could not make it work.

Not my car but olive972 what age is your car as it sounds like its an older model that does not have Adaptation but has Long adaptation, afraid I dont have coding for your car so you will have to do some searching. If you go to Info in Control unit 19 and check under Protocol it should say something like KWP2000 which is the older style. I stress i dont know your car but if you go to Long adaptation it should bring up a screen with Enter Channel and a drop down list of Select value On an older car in my garage (but not your model) in this list i have one called Battery adaptation which is where i am guessing you change the values for new battery. poormxdad as above I dont know your car but couple questions. 1/ Just to double check have you got the latest release 31.3 2/ When you run a scan does it show control unit 19 3/ following voltas-it.helpshift.com/a/obdeleven-android/?p=android&s=application-usage&f=gateway-coding&l=en with the ignition on you should have the option to add in manually a control unit, using the red pen can you add back in control unit 19 from the drop down list or does it not appear Very boring but you must have good internet connection and location finder turned on.

testeronline, Thanks for chiming in.
To clarify, I do have 31.3 and when I run a scan, Control Unit 19 does not appear. Location is ON.
When you stated "with the ignition on" does that mean with the car NOT running? I've seen those directions before, but have never been able to make it work, WITH THE CAR RUNNING.

poormxdad ignition on means just the key turned but no engine running. As I say I do not know your car but I have had a look on some VCDS Sites and I found examples of 2007 cars with no control unit 19, Might be worth dropping a line to OBD11 Support via the in app help function to see if they can confirm.

As I say dont have one of your cars in my garage. But on an old Passat I have it shows the following
1/ Firstly it brings up this screen
then from the dropdown list you get this
do you have the drop down list option
Just to stress I do not have access to one of these cars but saw the following on VCDS Site which may be relevant to your car.
Long Adaptation
Installation of a new battery requires the use of the [Long Adaptation-0A] function under 19-CAN-Gateway control module. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter the Part Number, Vendor, and Serial Number all as one long new value.
[Select] [19 - CAN-Gateway] [Long Adaptation-0A] Channel 004 [Read] VCDS will populate instructions in the form of a pop-up balloon with the formatting. For example:
Format: NNNNNNNNNNN XXX ZZZZZZZZZZ
N = Battery Part Number (11 Digits) X = Battery Vendor (3 Digits) Z = Battery Serial Number (10 Digits)
