Hi all, I was wondering if there's any way that our obdeleven devices can be used to prevent theft of our cars during long term parking? For example, using it to activate the immobilizer or use it to create a hard speed limiter (10kph/mph limit) that can only be disabled using obdeleven? Would like to hear your opinion on this.

hmm.......... I very much doubt it!!
OBD11 is designed to use the the 5 x communication protocols as defined in industry standards: J1850 PWM, J1850 VPW, ISO9141-2, ISO14230-4, and more recently, ISO15765-4/SAE J2480. None of these protocols contemplate using a device that is ostensibly designed for diagnostic purposes as either an anti-theft unit, or as a stand alone speed limiter.
This doesn't mean that OBD protocols can't be employed for these purposes, but it does mean that whatever device that plugs into the car's OBD port would need to be specifically designed for these function - I reckon!
