Is that the equivalent of boost pressure? Numbers seem right.
Thanks

And would there be a way to code the dash board to have it show the value live on it? How nice would that be!

nic: My understanding is that VW has never measured "boost" (being the pressure above ambient atmosphere) in any of their vehicles. The (correct) logic that is applied by VW is that the only thing that's important to the engine is the absolute pressure. This is so because once the air is physically inside the combustion chamber and it undergoes processes like compression by the turbo (with subsequent heating by the compression process)and then it is squeezed down again by the piston with more heat of compression, the air is totally insulated from the ambient air pressure.
But I think that I recall that it's also possible to separately read atmospheric pressure - so absolute minus atmospheric pressure can be calculated to find "boost" (or otherwise known as "gauge") pressure (I think)

Makes sens! Would it be possible to have that value added to my dash board?

^^^^ nic: If you had a MIBII with the 'performance monitor' facility, you could get a set of guages like below: The gauge on the extreme LHS is true boost (the subtraction of absolute and atmosphere pressures). But even if you had a MIBII, you can't necessarily get these gauges without the correct firmware. So, alas the short answer is no - happy to be corrected if anyone can tell me how Don

That screen would be amazing to have. How do I know if I have the right firmware?

That screen would be amazing to have. How do I know if I have the right firmware? Nic nic: I guess you try the following - if you don't get the gauges as a result, you don't have the correct firmware - Press "Car" Button on the MIB escutcheon plate (RHS)
- On the MIB screen, select "Selection"
- On the MIB screen, select "Sport"
- The 3 x gauges should appear (if the firmware is correct version). Swipe up or down on a gauge to select between Boost Pressure, Accelerometer, Power Meter (kW), Engine Oil Temp, Engine Cool Temp.
