Hi All,
I'm struggling to connect to my Module 46 - Central convenience to do a simple adaptation on my 4M Q7. The module keeps giving me the "Make Sure Ignition On" error when trying to connect to it but frustratingly it's circle is red after a scan which I understand it detects it. I have already tried clearing the app data with no luck and the dongle is at the most latest update.
Any tips on how to get it to connect?
Thanks,Chris

Sorry this is not my car but first question I would ask is what error message do you see on Module 46, if it has a red circle as you say it shows there is an error still being reported.
And just to add I appreciate you cant look in on the control unit but in your history file and filter (upside down triangle) with Fault and also Scan only and hopefully you will see the error reported there.
Silly question (and I am sure it done make any difference) have you tried connecting with the engine running

Hi, thanks. I'll check it later today and get back to you. I tried everything I could think of. Engine off, engine on, door open, door closed, windows down nothing seems to be rocking it's boat. I don't remember having this problem before. The same happens with the tail gate module but the rest seem to work fine. Frustrating!

The only other thing that I know impacts some Audi is bonnet open but I would have thought you would have issues on all control units if this was the case but always worth a try.

Update: Well God only knows why but the car was much happier to talk to OBDEleven today than yesterday. Connected straight through to Module 46 with no issues what so ever and I'm happy to say it took me about 15 seconds to do the adaptation I wanted to. Not sure if the issue was related to battery voltage levels as yesterday I attempted to do a full backup of the car with the engine off but music on which may have reduced the volts. Who knows! Doesn't matter I suppose, one happy adaptor today
