Last week I noticed that something felt wrong when driving my S3. It seemed like it was getting stuck in certain gears for too long and shifting was out of wack compared to the RPM's I normally saw it shift at before. I was not getting the performance I normally get with my APR Stage 2 high torque tune. Normally when I floored the gas pedal it would push me back into the seat almost like a rubber band was being stretched and let go. It was the same if I let off the gas after flooring it for a few seconds and it would downshift and jolt me forward. I decided to reset the DSG and ECU since that seemed to be the answer from Googling this. I reset the DSG via OBDeleven and the ECU using this method:

My car now feels too smooth to drive. I no longer get that fun "rubber band" effect when flooring or letting off the gas. It's taken a lot of the fun of Stage 2 away. The car is no longer upshifting or downshifting like it used to and still staying in certain gears for too long. I usually drive in dynamic mode with the valves open, auto shifting, and comfort suspension setting for mag-ride. I tried manual shifting but it still doesn't feel like it used to. I know that when the DSG is reset it's recommended that you drive carefully so the car can shift at low RPM and get "used" to the tune or changes. The night I did this I went for a 15 minute drive and drove carefully without pushing the car very hard. I have a long drive to work so I've driven at least 100 miles now after making these changes. I've only floored the gas pedal a few times to see if it felt like it used to but it doesn't. Did I screw something up or do I just have to drive it longer? I know the best option would be to take it in to have the professionals look at it with official APR software but I wanted to know if anyone else has done this and how it went. I hope it's not a transmission issue.
*I may be using the abbreviated terms DSG and ECU incorrectly or interchangeably. I'm not that knowledgeable with these specific systems.
