Last week i installed the foglights in the front bumper.
This was quite a challange to take out the plastic frame and install the new plastic frame for the foglight to install.
In the meantime the bumper is installed back again and today i start connecting both foglight wires to the bcm.
I ordered a new Light Switch with front foglights position.
I search all internet forums but still wonder: do i need to pull extra trigger wire from the lightswitch to bcm or is it just a coding like:
Control Unit 09: Adaptions: Aussenlicht_uebergreifend: LDS_mit_Nebellicht: change from NO to YES ??
And does any body know what the difference is between the next setting:
Control Unit 09: Adaptions: Aussenlicht_uebergreifend: Lichtdrehschalter (LDS): default is 'discrete' but can change to 'LIN" ??
Thanks..

jurucavw : hi. Rather than launch into a complicated discussion about the way that the rotary light switch (LDS) sends control signals to the hex09 module to operate the front and rear fog lights - let's just stick to the simple answer. How many wires are there in the loom that terminates on the connector on the back of the LDS - on your car?
If the answer is 8 x wires, you will need to run a new wire for the fog lights. In this case, the wire is shown in the picture below as the wire that terminates on pin#5 on the LDS:
Second question - Do not change "Aussenlicht_uebergreifend: Lichtdrehschalter (LDS)"

Hi Don,
The existing loom had 9 wires because backfoglight already there.
Yesterday i coded the front fog lights and to my surprise i did not need the 10th wire to bcm.
Even the light switch is equiped with 10 contacts in the connector, so it wil see this by resistance or some communication ?
But now it works fine, thx for your answers.
