My car (NA spec MK7.5 Golf GTI Autobahn) has light assist and I can see that by pushing the signal stalk forward once and it has the 'A' symbol inside the headlight icon on the MFD. I usually turn off my headlights when my car is parked and turn them on manually when it's dark. When I do that, I have to push the aforementioned stalk forward again to activate light assist. Is it possible to code it such that light assist is automatically on whenever I have the headlight switch in Auto or main beam?

(2019 7.5 R) Stop the High-Beam Assistant resetting when you turn off the car. But turning the light switch to something other than Auto will turn off the HBA. (09) Central Electrics -- Adaptation -- Fernlicht_assistent -- Fernlichtassistent Reset -- active => not active

Nope. Switching the lights to anything else than Auto will reset the HBA, even with that said coding, which will memorize the HBA-Setting, but only while in Auto.
