Hi guys.
Followed some very helpful YouTube how to vids a couple of months ago and did the following mods on my 7.5 R:
Off road info screen
Mirror light
Driving school mode
Refuel Quantity
Enable fan level display
Lock/unlock chirp
Drl option in menu
Animated display on dash
10 colour background lighting
Soundaktor switched off
Now for the life of me I cannot find the guys YouTube channel. I am wondering if there are any other must to mods on the facelift Golf
I have heard a couple of people mention the DRL brightness and enabling the rear lights as DRL. Does anybody know the coding for these?
And are there any other tweaks I should do?

Guessing you have the front headlights where the DLR’s can’t be programmed, as for the rear I’m sure DV52 will be along later, he’s the lights man

Final straw was when I was told that I was paid and I should support the app, it was a hobby and for fun and only made the videos so I didn’t have to write them out over and over again, I received a lot of nonsense on here too, only time I received any money was when I got a guy come over and I did to mods for him, he gave me a £5 for my time, and I never asked for it

vwjap : John, I'm saddened to read about your experience - but yes, I know exactly how you feel
I've also learned from bitter experience that there are a range of "interesting" folk out there in web-land with all sorts of reasons for their responses.
These days - I'm a lot wiser and much more sanguine about negative (and sometimes, quite abusive) responses. My philosophy now is to try and understand their motivations - some folk just want to vent their spleens and comments on the web about OBD matters are the medium for their discontent!
These days -while I very much appreciate positive responses, when I get the occasional negative comment, frankly - I just don't care!!
These days - I understand that I sometimes get stuff wrong, but I value my reaction much more highly; negative respondents need to work far harder to get me to react to their words (which isn't a challenge for others reading this -please)
