Hi,
I have taken our 2014 Audi Q5 from the USA to Spain.
Not very experienced with cars or coding and bought an OBDeleven to change the tail lights from NA to EU. A local Audi mechanic has got European OEM tail lights and is ready to make the swap.
I ran the app and thought it worked however the brake lights and indicators are reversed. What will be the larger red light flashes with the indicator/turn signal and the narrow yellow/amber light comes on with the brake pedal.
Is there a physical step required when changing the lights or another coding change?
Many thanks for the help

Not familiar with the rear of a Q5 - but just as a logical suggestion - why not physically just swap the wires on the larger red light and the turn signal?
If it's not obvious which wires to swap - grab a multi meter -turn-on the indicator - put the negative/black lead from the multi meter to the car earth and with the red lead - touch each of the pins on the back of the fitting until you find the one. Then repeat with the brake light
Then using a large sewing needle (or something similar) de-pin the 2 x identified pins from the connector and swap

Don,
That could be exactly the right solution - as I said unfortunately no practical experience beyond changing a tire.
Appreciate the suggestion and the detailed stepthrough, will have a look with the mechanic when changing the lights.

Don,
To follow-up on this, was even easier than expected.
The wiring difference was all internal to the light - simple unplug old / plug-in new and everything worked as it should.
Thanks again for suggestion, Ronan
