Hello I tried to search the forum for an answer, but couldn't find any. Apologies if this is answered already. My Passat 2017 has Park Assist 3.0 with all the sensors (front, rear, side). Trailer hitch is retrofitted and coded by VW dealer. Parking camera high model also retrofitted by VW dealer. Is it possible to activate Trailer Assist with OBDeleven? I guess the ABS block is OK because the working Park Assist? Is there anything else I would need. Trying to get a first project I could justify spending 100 Euros for the OBD11 Anybody have any experience? Thanks

I have a 2018 206 Wagon (that's what we call it in Australia) which has all the same as you.
Just updated the OBD eleven app on the android and a new one has come up.
Trailer Assist
In it requirements it states
1. Trailer hitch must be installed in the vehicle. 2. Area View must be installed in the vehicle. 3. Parking Assist 3.0 must be installed in the vehicle.
My car does not have area view, only a rear view camera with sensors all round. So I do not think that it will work
Hope this helps

Yup
Tried the app for the Trailer Assist. Almost. The menu is shown briefly, but the car complains about missing camera view and stops the Trailer Assist. Can anybody advice if Trailer Assist is possible without side view cameras in Passat B8?
Cheers

Still seeking advice.
Trailer Assist works almost... I get a message "restricted view" and operation halts. I do have a rear camera that should support Trailer Assist: 5Q0.980.568.B H09 0250
Where to next? How to get the car ignore the Area View cameras?
Cheers
