I have a golf 1.2 Germany spec, last night I use OBD 11 to code the DRL to stay on with low beam but every time I use the the turn signal I get the DRL error light. I even try coding the parking light to stay on with the low beam and the same error light appear when I use the turn signal. I unplugged the headlight harness adapter when I did all the coding.

Nvm: I'm happy to help, but I suspect that it's difficult for anyone to comment when there is such a paucity of data in your post -you need to supply more information: what changes did you make - what leuchte channels and what settings? what type of headlight fittings did you have and what type of fittings do you now have? Other than just the error message, how do the lights work - how does the DRL operate when the blinkers are selected? Did you have DRL Wink - and do you have it now? Do the DRLs operate during daylight and do the lamps operate during night-time as Parking lights? Do the DRL lamps operate as single-sided-parking lights? What other, pertinent information can you provide that might be useful to someone who hasn't seen your car? What country are you from?

I purchased a set of replica headlight from becauto.com originally I had halogen light. His headlight come with an harness adapter that connect to the car's harness to allow the DRL to stay on with the low beam at 100 brightness intensity which I found to be way too bright for night driver. Now if I remove his harness adapter and just connect the headlight to the car's adapter, then it would function just like the original halogen headlight feature. I m from Taiwan but my car is made in Germany. On my halogen headlight the DRL turn off when I use the turn signal. It dim to 31 when parking lights is on and it turn off when low beam is on. Now with the replica headlights i cannot code or use OBD 11 if I use his harness adapter. if I have the headlight switch on Parking light position and use the turn signal I would get the check left DRL error message. So when I go to code the DRL to stay on with the low beam it would work fine until I use the turn signal.

I guess there are two ways of tackling this problem: try to deal with the too-bright DRLs with the harness installed, or try to solve the error message with the harness removed. The issue that I have is that I'm not sure how Ed's replica lights are wired internally, so I'm tempted not to tackle the latter problem! If I did this, I'd just be guessing at the internal wiring in Ed's headlight fittings and I suspect that there would need to be multiple attempts at a solution So, assuming that the headlights work OK with the harness installed (except that the DRLs are too bright) and assuming that the settings for the DRL Leuchte-sets on your car are as per the factory values, try this (to reduce the DRL illumination): - Re-install the harness
- Select Central electrics module (@ address hex09)
- Select Security access
- Enter the magic number 31347
- Select Adaptation
- Search for Leuchte4TFL LB4 (this is the Leuchte-set for the left-side DRL lamp)
- Select Dimmwert AB 4 and change value from 100 to a smaller number
- Search for Leuchte5 TFL RB32 (this is the Leuche-set for the right-side DRL lamp)
- Select Dimmwert AB 5 and change value from 100 to the same number as in step VII
If the illumination of the DRLs are still not to your liking after your first chosen dimming number, you might need to repeat the process above with different values in the Dimmwert AB channels
