I retrofitted PLA 3.0 following the wiring diagram and using coding info from xagico guide and this forum since some adaptations where wrong in the guide.
At the moment the car recognizes park spaces and parks automatically with decent results. I coded units 76 (park assist), 6C (rear camera), 44 (steering assistance), 5F (multimedia), 3 (abs) and 1 (engine) and at the moment no DTCs are present. But in the nav screen when I park I only get visual info of my parking distance from the original 8k sensors, nothing from the extra 4 side sensors. The 8k ops is always present while the OPS 360° bars appear in the screen gradually from back to front or vice versa but don't "light up" when I'm near an obstacle/wall

I didn't for this retrofit, but I already have bidirectional sensors (WHT003864A) that I fit when I retrofitted ACC.

Then It Should be fine, next thing I Would check Is the Setting set In the long coding of the PLA Module for "Visual Display For Park Assist". Should be "with OPS 360".
Not sure How It Is for the PLA 3.0 Module But that works on the 2.0 Module.

I coded that bit (I'm assuming I did, OBD11 isn't exactly the best for the long coding helper) and the 360 visual shows, just the bars don't activate for the new 4 sensors.
I might've gotten a faulty pla module that does the hard task but not the easy one. I'm considering getting PLA 2 since the autopark feature is just a party trick and I did the retrofit for the all around vicinity sensors, but since everything else works I was just wondering if there's something I did wrong and isn't (yet) showing errors

That does sound weird, the easiest thing to do after making sure That coding is correct is getting another PLA module(3.0 or 2.0) and if it works there then thats your solution.
PLA 3.0 Has the Auto Brake feature Not just self parking, if you have ACC then it should work, seems like an Important system to have.

Yep, the manouver braking sure is useful, I tried it involutarily and I must say it is quick and almost scary.
I will look for someone to borrow a PLA 3 module from, so that I can just plug it in and see if mine's faulty. I was hoping there was some other way. Why does manouver braking need ACC btw?

Thats the way I would do it.
If you have ACC and it can Brake for you then the ABS Module should be compatible with the Auto braking Feature

Good evening every one... Did you solve your issue with OPS360??? I have exactly the same problem on Passat B8. Self parking working Side sensors no generate sound beep like another pdc sensors When PLA controller is coded on OPS360 then Mib2 show side bars, but they are just only Gray. No representation of distance to obstacles. OPS360 NOT WORKING MOVIE |

arecki128: yes I finally solved the issue. I flashed (with a different tool) the park assist module with the dataset for my car and now it's working properly. In the meantime I'd suggest you to enable only the parking aid view (8 sensors) and look for someone that can flash your module

Did u use odis or VCP?
Maybe for me is better to buy another PLA controller dedicated for passat b8.
Do you know what is difference beetween
5Q0919298 B/C/D? I had D now but when i look on used passat b8 parts market, most of them are C Revision.
Already i have 5Q0919298D genuine module but i dont know which VAG brand was used with.
Can you post autosscan log of pla controller here especially with HW SW VERSION and software Revision?

Update: Finally, I made it work properly with this dataset: 76_OE_5QA919298D_V03935285RY -0001 - Tiguan NF
(flashing then re-coding with OBD11/VCDS)
Note: You should backup Long coding before, because it will be lost after flashing dataset.
