Hi everyone !
Just got a new MY21 Karoq last week (France) and Obdeleven dongle (the white one), and already managed to add many options & tweaks, this is just great !
When it comes to activating Lane Assist I have to do some long coding in A5 Module. Here is my problem, only adaptations work in this module, I cannot save any long coding as I get error 31 (function unavailable). Correct password entered, and I tested all the services available, nothing will do...
I would like to know if there's a way to activate modifications in A5 Module, maybe some of you have faced the same issue ?
Before being asked, yes I have the multifunction camera as I bought the car with oem road signs recognition and I activated Auto Light assist.

Well I guess we have to be patient from now on, I'm sure time will make things easier Though I'm a bit worried, Testeronline only talked about Unit 5F, 09 or 19 blocked by SFD code. I'm hoping A5 will also be unlocked at the end !

deviance44 at this time the SFD Issue is all very much word of mouth as there are not many people out there who can confirm what can and cannot be done. You vehicle is an MQB Platform so logically should be affected by the SFD process but if the control unit is impacted then you should not be able to code either adaption or long coding. So first question is your long coding string all 000000 or do you have actual numbers. |

This is weird, my A5 is locked for long coding but I still can do adaptations in it (thanks to that I could activate auto light assist). If by "string" you mean the line above "Byte n°X" in byte mode,I have different numbers, no 00. ibb.co/k2NyxJ3 |

Well this is not my car but I dont think you have the SFD Issue,
Personally I would uninstall the app and then re-install it and see if that makes any difference.
The only other thing I would try personally is changing the Diagnostic session as I have known that to help sometimes, but then its contact support via the in app help function and tell them your issue and see if they can help.

So I'm understanding A5 adaptations unlocked means long coding should be unlocked as well.
I already cleared app cache and tried all diagnostic services but it didn't solve the problem. I'll try to reinstall the app and contact them, thanks 😉

Hi folks ! Unfortunately app support was not a big help to me. According to them, if it says function unavailable, it means that the function is unavailable... lol
I'm going to seek for a company that uses vcds and see if another hardware is able to activate my lane assist, we never know !

Hi Chorsley! Sorry for the delayed answer, yes I have active cruise control and Auto light assist means the car is handling high beam by itself when it detects another car in front of me |

Hi everyone, Just a quick update on my situation. I had given up since October, but since many app updates happened, I decided to give it a try once again yesterday. It now WORKS !! I can finally do long coding in module A5  Now i have to find an updated way to activate lane assist, the one I found on many forums doesn't seem to work. After reading a post on Briskoda forums (Octavia MY21), it might have to do with the new A5 module Valeo MFK 3.0. I'll keep on searching ^^ Have a good day y'all ! |

Hi,
Got an Octavia 4 from France also, this morning  I used to do some small adaptations on my previous Karoq (2018), but never tried something "bigger".
I hope I can make some changes on my octavia, Light Assist would be a good start
I'll try ASAP !!

Hello Deviance, Thank you for sharing your Long coding A5 knowledge. I have the same A5 module Valeo MFK 3.0, on my KAMIQ 1.6 DSG AMBITION TDI and i am trying to activate adaptive lane assist. Normal lane assist was activated from factory. So far i have gone through this long coding on Control Unit A5: POINT OF INTERVENTION -> early_setting_via_menu (enable adaptive lane assist) CONFIGURATION_FOR_LANE_DEPARTURE_WARNING_KL15 -> last_setting (enable lane assist power status memory) HC_WARN_INTENSITY -> setting_over_menu (enable lane assist warning intensity MIB setting) Everything seems good on menu for lane assist, i can find setting to activate/deactivate lane assist(as before long coding) and to activate/deactivate adaptive lane assist + chose level of warning intensity (which appeared after long coding). The problem is that i can't activate adaptive lane assist. It is there on lane assist menu but once i press on it, it's not getting checked. The only way i found out it can be checked is when i turn on ignition, if i rush to lane assist menu and checked it, is activated for 2-3 secs. Then after these 2-3 secs it is unchecked automatically(deactivated). You can Find attached my A5 unit info and A5 unit long code with the 3 changes above activated. Have you found a solution, to activace adaptive lane assist ? Greetings, Nikos ***Finally i have found the solution!!!*** After an update from my dealer on A5(camera) unit from Software version 1030 to 1302(software number 2Q0980653C) and on 5f(multimidia) unit to 1760(software number 654035869D) , adaptive lane assist works perfect! Hello Folks ! Sorry to come back so late but 2021 has been a mess until then. To be direct : YES coding Adaptative Lane Assist is possible ! I found on a german vcds forum this link to a VERY precious list of MQB coding (it includes all MQB cars, careful.) Just translate it to English, and go to page 62/63. There are several variants of lane assist coding, depending on your hardware, Variant 1 was the good one for me. Hope it will make some of you have a good day ! link |

I followed the link and I tried Lane Assist Activation Variant 3 since my hardware number starts from 2Q0.
I still have the same problem. Adaptive Lane Assist appears on Bolero but I can't tick/chose it.
