Greeting from Germany and R32-club.de
This OBD11 is a very nice toy and helpful for diagnostics. One Point is missing: Channels 208 and 209 are very important for condition of camshaft timing chains. It is value 3 for bank 1 and bank 2 in each case (idle stabilization). Stemei does not describe those values ... whatever ... it is VCDS (see pic).
It would be wonderful to add those channels. Currently there are no values to display. Is it possible for one of your next updates? Thanks in advance. upload img

This thread is a good one I'm sure the developers will be making that addition as well. I don't have a R32 to test it myself.

Have a Happy New Year!

Since there are several variations in ECU and engine types, it would be difficult for the development team to be able to catch them all AND label each channel accordingly. One interesting feature that I'd like to see in OBDeleven is the ability to simply "import" the label files from VCDS. This would ease the need to update OBDeleven with new labels for the various channels as they are being discovered.
The way that I imagine this working is that the label files from VCDS can be copied over to your phone's internal storage. The OBDeleven app would then scan your phone's storage for the VCDS label files and select the one matching the ECU that you are trying to code. It would then pull and display the labels from the VCDS label files for each channel. If I knew anything about programming, I'd try to implement it myself.

Puh - I will not be able to do so. :/
... but if there is any instruction how to modify that and a source for the VCDS file ...

I got response from help desk. Thank you for that. Think they're working on it. Value 1 from channel 208 seems to be wrong currently (at idle).

I can't get a R32 to work on. I only have my MK5 GTI. Otherwise, I'd have helped you out using screenshots from VCDS.

Hi Meth, I'm Mod at R32-Club.de. So it should be possible to send you any infos you need. I'm not shure, what you need. The VR6 engine is completely different from GTI. What can I do?

Hansdampf seems to want channels 208 and 209 labeled with actual values for his VR6.
I'm yet to see if such channels are even used in my 2.0 TFSI

Seems they are exclusively für the VR6 engine with chains and camshaft timing.

Additional info to my pic in post #1 Group in VCDS = Channel in OBD11 (in german VCDS it is MWB = Messwertblock) and the Values 1,2,3,4 horizontal are the OBD11 values vertical.

New month - new features (Channels 208/209)? If you tell me your location, I'll try to send a R32 for testing.

If you tell me your location, I'll try to send a R32 for testing. I don't know if you were addressing me. However, I'm in Kingston,Jamaica. I had fun taking my MK5 GTI to the drag strip today. I did 14.004 seconds on the 1320 (1/4 mile). The Ross-Tech Wiki page doesn't seem to have anything posted for the VR6 in the R32. I don't know which one of the label files would be applicable in your case.

Congrats fo your drag times. Uhhh Jamaica is fine. One of our guys (Peter) will visit Jamaica. I'll ask him. Perhaps you can meet ... his flight starts today und he will return to Europe by ship.
Edit: Unfortunately not with R32 BUB Engine
Edit#2: He is at Montego Bay and ship starts at 22.00 "Mein Schiff 4" to Aruba und Barbados. No chance for meeting.

If you have the VCDS-Software from ross-tech on your PC there should be all files you need. Including the label-files. This told me a guy using VCDS.

I know that I have ALL the label files. I just don't know which one to use as I don't have a physical MK5 with a R32 to test it with to tell you what's what. You can also get all the label files as well just by downloading VCDS. The issue is that the label files are now encrypted to protect Ross-Tech's hard work, so I can't see what's inside the files for myself.

I already have this. I still say OBDeleven is better for what it does. carlyapp still can't even come close to a full solution like VCDS.

Okay, I do not have carlyapp to try Another guy reported that ELM327-Dongle and Torque Pro App will do. Does OBD11-Dongle work with Torque Pro? I have no idea.

Does OBD11-Dongle work with Torque Pro? No. This is intentional, by design

Hi Guys,
I would also appreciate if channels 208/209 would be added since all Audi TT 3.2 and A3 3.2 drivers need exactly the same ;-)

Helpdesk gave me a message. It is like Matthew said - they do not have a car with BUB engine for testing the channels. It`s a pity.

We don't have many MK5 R32's here in Jamaica. We have quite a few MK5 GTI's though 2.0TFSI. If I could get access to one eventually, I'd be happy to log channels 208 and 209 for you all.
