So I had a couple things happen on my ‘17 mk7 sport wagon- replaced the battery and the clock spring. I’ve been able to reset almost everything and get the lights off the dash, but I’m still getting a couple faults that are keeping the cruise control from working. I think it’s just a programming issue. The log below shows the errors: cruise control switch open and intermittent wiper control open. This is the six way, non adaptive cruise on the left face of the steering wheel. Intermittent wiper control works fine and can be seen in live data working. Any ideas on how I can program this module to make it happy?

When you say that you replaced the clock spring, what do you actually mean? Did you replace just the spring itself, or did you replace the entire hex16 module (including the spring)?

If you replaced the module (with the clock spring) - do you have a back-up from which to take the old long-code string?
Where is the Cruise Control switch (CCS)installed on your car - is it on the steering wheel stalk, or is it a button on the steering wheel?
Have you checked the state of the connectors on the module - particularly the connectors for stalk switches?

The steering wheel module has a number of internal connectors onto which the various switches (like wiper, CCS, turn-signal) terminate. First approach would be to check the status of these internal connectors

hmm....... without knowing which particular TDI engine this car has, my hunch (guess) is that the linear Lambda probe problem is separate to the other faults. This Oxygen sensor is the pre catalytic converter probe - maybe check with your service garage if there has been any update campaigns for this engine.

It's unusual for so many different switches to fault (as I have said - these switches terminate on different connectors inside the hex16 module). Did you replace the clock-spring with EXACTLY the same part number and have you rechecked these connectors?
