Hi,
I've got 2016 VW Tiguan AD1 with Discovery media infotainment system. Central unit in the glovebox has faulty memory or something as the software upgrade cannot be done by dealer. I bought second hand module but those units are paired with car VIN. My question is, can I pair this unit to my car with OBDEleven or is it trip to dealer?
Thank you in advance

I took the car to dealer and they were able to remove the component protection from the second hand module. However when they tried to configure it with the parameters automatic update failed because the unit is -B revision instead of -A what the original was. They said it could maybe be manually configured but they don't have instructions how to do it. So my question is can it be configured by OBD11?
I was wondering to install the original unit then go with OBD11 to unit 5F and copy all the values from long coding and then switch back to the new unit and input all the same values. Would this be the way to go?

I'm so close. I had backup from earlier and did all the values to 5F control unit that was listed in the backup. Also did get rid of the SVM trouble code by adaptation and "Confirmation of installation change" then calculated XOR C9D2. Now I only get few error codes: B201200 Data set implausible and U101400 Control module incorrectly coded. It's not communicating with the car except bluetooth audio is displayed on dashboard. However I cannot change car settings from the infotainment system. What am I missing?
Edit: Now actually managed to get everything else working except the clima control through the display. It's not showing temperatures, seat heating etc. When pressing the mode button it brings the display for clima controls but nothing there. Maybe some adaptation value is wrong, but I can't figure out what. Any idea?
