You can't activate Audi Smartphone Interface (Apple Carplay and Android Auto) with OBDeleven. Sure, OBDeleven can be helpful at some time in activation process, but that's all it can do.

Why not? ... other obd units on the net have the possibility to do such mod. Why is it that we have to wait for months, only to see one of the new Apps for A6 released. Of course, the Apps are not and should not be free, but lets get real, people buy your product because of it's possibilities and simplicity. To keep it going, you should capture regular New Updates of all models and have the most attractive mods to remain competative. That's why we/I bought Obdeleven on the first place and not some other brand and that's whats going to separate you from the others.
So... making the Apps that are most wanted and acknowledge the requests from forum-members from time to time is a step forward. We are your Clients and Word of mouth goes the long way.
So.. I, as your loyal customer, would realy like to see you come up with Audi Smart Interface App.

Yes but you don’t edit the FEC over the ODB interface, which is what ODB11 does. Editing FECs is a lot more complicated and requires additional tools, Unix knowledge, and a network adapter. You can’t expect ODB11 to do something it wasn’t designed to do.

Wrong,
I found a guy who unlocked Audi Smart Interface on my 2016 A6 and all he used was a USB Stick and USB Port under Armrest. Then he updated my maps from 2019 to 2022 and he charged little over 100€. Everything was plug and play, and no manual coding was involved.
ODB11 can't do it but a normal USB 2.0 can, without additional tools and without network adapter.
Go figure.

I activated it by myself using instructions in this video (A7 has same software and works fine)
Its free and requires an SD card only
