Found this on the VWVortex.com site. I have a 2017 FL estate without heated seats. Tried and better tried to get the mirror dip to work, following advice from anyone who had a potential solution. This link will tell you if you have the required hardware to make the mirror dip properly. When I checked mine showed exactly as in the link - hardware not installed. forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?8450146-OBDeleven-coding-master-list-thread/page2The bottom line is you need the Mirror Memory Module installed! If you are using the App to change the settings you will be wasting credits. If you have the Pro version you can find out without credits. If you don't have the Pro version it will cost you 5 credits to find out. Should help clarify the situation for a lot of people.

veki The maximum speed you can set for them to operate is 64 kmh which is 40 mph. The default is 40 kph which is 25 mph You can change it by going into the following adaptations
Control unit: 09 Central Electrics Name: Static AFS light Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle: Old value: 40.0 km/h New value: 64.0 km/h

Veki if you have a UK car and can see a bulb in the left hand lens it should be straight forward. There are three changes to make but you need to check 2 others before making the changes. Go into Control unit: 09 Central Electrics Find Leuchte27NSL RC6 Then Dimmwert AB 27 Note the number. Mine was 100 Then Lasttyp 27 Not the value - mine was 9 - allgemeine Glühlampe 27W, auch H15 This is the bulb type you have fitted. Then go to Leuchte26NSL LA72 Then Lichtfunktion A 26: Change it from Old value: nicht aktiv To New value: Nebelschlusslicht wenn kein Anhaenger gesteckt Now go to Dimmwert AB 26 This should be 0. Change it to the number you noted earlier. Now go to Lasttyp 26 This should show show nicht aktiv. Change it to the same bulb type you noted earlier. Now save the changes by pressing the green tick. That should do it. Good luck.

This relates to an 2017 Octavia FL. I have had a problem having changes confirmed once made and pressing the green tick. The change fails to be confirmed and the following appears in red along the bottom of the screen!
(31) function cannot be performed This was in Control Unit 5F. I tried accessing with a security code but it would still not accept the changes.
This went on for several sessions. I contacted customer support and they suggested I go into
Advanced Identification function of 5F.
I accessed it and ticked all the boxes and scrolled through all the data. I couldn't see anything that would help to identify the reason why I couldn't make changes so I closed it down and re entered Adaptations. I made my changes and they were accepted straight away.
A few days later I went into 5F to make another change and found the same problem (31) function cannot be performed I carried out the same procedure as before by accessing the Advanced Identification and scrolling through. Once again entered Adaptations and again I was successful with my changes. Worth a try if you are faced with the same problem. Make a comment if works for you.

Activation of second rear fog. I have a 2017 SE-L Estate RHD UK spec, with LED headlights and NON LED rear lights. I found that only the right hand fog light came on but on checking established that there was a bulb fitted in the left hand cluster and could see it was not an LED through the lens. I followed the initial steps to activate but nothing happened. Then I found the key to the change that would activate it. Controller 09 - Central Electronics 16 - Security Access - enter 31347 10 - Adaptations Then look at both of the following settings to establish what the differences are. Leuchte26NSL LA72 Leuchte27NSL RC6 When viewing either of the above there are 3 values that will be different: LASTTYP which will be the top value LICHTFUNKTION either A26 or A27 and DIMMWERT AB26 or AB27 Whichever has the values in is the active lamp. You need to make a note of them and make the other the same The main one is the LASTTYP. That indicates the type of lamp you have fitted. Right down the value as you will be looking for the same lamp on the other side. All of the adaptations have suggested "32 allgemeine LED bis 12W" This is a type of lamp and may not be the same as yours. Once you select LASTTYP you will see a long list of different lamp types. Select the one that matches the lamp you already have. Then change Both LICHTFUNKTION A26 and A27 to Nebelschlusslicht wenn kein Anhaenger gesteckt and DIMMWERT either AB26 or AB27 which ever is the setting that is on 0 to match the other value. I found it to be 100. Hope this helps. Read more: forum.obdeleven.com/user/10275/recent#ixzz5fe3DlcRz

Update. Having tried many times to put the changes made back to the original settings but failed as OBDEleven just would not let me save the changes, I contacted customer support via the help section of the App. Although they didn't know what was preventing me from making and saving changes I was directed to select Advanced Identification. I selected it and was able to look at lots of information but nothing that indicated a problem with the dongle, App or the vehicle. I came out of that and attempted to perform the changes I had up to this point been unable to do. Hey presto - first attempt changes made and accepted - result. The fault code U111100 when cleared did not come back. Happy days. Thank you customer support.

I have the same vehicle except for the engine and mine is a Sept 17. I also have High Beam Assist that came with the car. The following adaptation was carried out by me to activate the Cornering Fog Lights. Control unit: 09 Central Electrics 1.Name: Leuchte12NL LB45 Lichtfunktion B 12: Old value: nicht aktiv New value: Abbiegelicht links 2.Name: Leuchte13NL RB5 Lichtfunktion B 13: Old value: nicht aktiv New value: Abbiegelicht rechts 3.Name: Static AFS light Maximaltemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 100.0 °C obere Grenztemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 95.0 °C Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle: This one changes the speed at which they will remain active. Old value: 40.0 km/h New value: 64.0 km/h Oberer Lenkradwinkel: Old value: 65 ° New value: 90 ° untere Grenztemperatur: Old value: 0.0 °C New value: 80.0 °C That worked for me. They both work separately when turning the wheel and when the indicator is used with a full push. It does not work when you use the comfort indication! I have also activated: Fog lights to come on with the main beam flash Fog lights to come on with full main beam. Both rear fog lights. If I can help with them let me know. sgt1297

mark123 What vehicle do you have? I will check the history on my car and get back to you. What you have done looks good to me. I think the actions 6 and 10 are actually the same actions as 5 and 9. I'll get back to you Tuesday.

darkvrs You can do all the modifications, if your vehicle can be modified, with either the basic or the pro version. If you want to make the changes with the Apps it doesn't matter if you have the Basic or the pro model, you will need to either buy credits or collect them at the rate of 6 per day by looking at adverts through the OBDeleven App. Most of the changes can be done with 10 credits, but some take 100 credits. The pro version allows you carry out diagnostic checks and adaptations without the use of credits. The basic version still allows you to do the same things but you have to use credits. Hope that helps.

I have a 2017 FL Octavia estate. Having had a go at the Apps and Adaptations I have found that not everything works as hoped or as promised. With tips and advice from other users and forums, I have established that some of the Apps that are available for me to use do not work and will never work! An example of an App that does not work is the SOC in the display. I have tried the App twice in the hope that the first time it just didn't work. Well it didn't work the first time or the second time. I have since established that it does not work on the FL Octavia. If that is the case why is it available for me to use? How specific are Apps to the version of a vehicle. If all Octavia Apps are available and visible on the App menu of all versions of the model is it possible to have some narrative in the App description explaining that it doesn't work with certain Mk's or FL versions? Since Apps take credits they should work every time. Clarification on model specific Apps please.

I have tried and failed to initiate TSR because I do not have the correct camera. If you don't have MODULE 5A you don't have the correct camera! I made 3 changes through adaptations in module 5F using the security code 20103.I reset 2 of them to the original values but missed one. I now get an error message when I scan with the OBD11 that I do not believe was there before I carried out the changes. The fault code is U111100 - Function Limitation Due to Missing Message. Now when I enter Module 5F, I enter code 20103 which shows green and is accepted. I then go into adaptations to change the value back to its original value but it will not accept the change. I had previously changed other values but missed this one and having carried out a history check found this value had not been put back to its original setting. What am I doing wrong?

Razvanac that is good to know and thank you posting the different camera images. I suspected as much about the TSR, but hoped that with ACC and Auto headlights there was a possibility that it could be activated. The mirror dip is a gimmick that I probably would not have used anyway as I prefer to use the option to manually dip both mirrors at the same time. I can live without the voltage check.

Hope this helps.

I have a Sept 17 SEL estate which I bought as an ex demo. Fitted as standard was High Beam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and LED headlights. I have managed to activate the following successfully with the OBD11 and free credits. Fog-lights flash with main beam (adaptation) Fog-lights on with main beam (adaptation) Both rear fog-light (adaptation) Cornering fog-lights (adaptation) Climate control fan indication on Auto (app) Comfort turn signals (app) Discover engineering Menu (app)
I have however been unable to activate the following: Mirror dip in reverse (app) I have tried it twice with the app and although there are signs something has been done it does not work properly. The mirror only dips a couple of degrees when selecting reverse, which is of no use. On putting the switch back to O it returns to its original position. I do not have heated seats memory seats! Activate Traffic sign recognition (adaptation) I found the first few changes straight forward but then everything came to a halt when I couldn't find Control Module A5!? Could not find one! Battery charge level (app) Did this twice but no joy. Didn't work.
Hope this helps

radish, you have nothing to loose by resetting the faults. Some are intermittent and may never re-appear. Others are more persistent and keep showing up again, pointing to a full time fault. Reset all the faults and re-scan after running the car. It is better to run the scan after using the car as this will allow those faults that only appear when the vehicle has been run to be logged. If the same fault shows up, further investigation is required. If it doesn't show up it may be an intermittent fault. Hope this helps
