Hi guys,
I have a 2017 S3 MY18 and can only increase speed by 5km below 80km, or 10km above 80km. I have a loan A3 facelift not sure of year from Audi and it can increase cruise speed by 1km increments..
Anyone know how to adjust
TIA

Jay: Hi.
I'm not sure if this facility is available on a MY18 S3 - but it is available on my A3 MY18 Audi.
Anyhow, if you want to proceed -try this: - Select the Auto Dist. Reg control module @ address hex13 (ACC)
- Select Coding and navigate to Byte 14
- Place a tick in Byte 4 and press the "go" button to accept the change
- If you are asked for a security code, enter 20103
Note: if you are using the descriptor version of Long-code in OBD11 (i.e. the screens without the Bit numbers), the equivalent software switch to Byte 14/Bit 4 should read something like "Operation_mode,0=operation_mode_1/1=operation_mode_2"

Jay, were you able to restore? I too am looking to use different speed adjustments for cruise control. Mine is 2.5 mph and I come from VW which was 1 mph, a very strange value the way I see it.

1mph increments working fine on my 2018 RS3 , long hold up/down changes by 2.5 mph. Byte 14 now reads hex36. Thanks Don for the detailed info

Don? Is it possible to get more detailed instructions on this adaptation? (30-80km/h) + 5km/h --> + 1km/h (80-150km/h) +10/h --> + 1km/h
I'm afraid I'm going to mess up the whole Acc...

raiko12 : hmm...... it's not an "adaptation" - it's a change to the long-code string on the module.
I'm not sure why it didn't work for jayr83 2017 S3 MY18, or why he reported "totally disabled ACC.." (might be due to a different part number for his hex13 module - but this is a total guess) As I have said above, it worked on my MY18 A3 - and it has apparently worked on deeps 2018 RS3 and kingbrd1 2020 RS3. What additional information do you want? Don

I also successfully applied this a while back to my 2017 FL S3. Works a treat, should be like this from the factory! :-)

Thanks Don! I'm going to try this today, and I'll tell you later if it worked out for me.
And my car is an _A3 8V 2.0 tfsi quattro_ 2018
Edit: Well, that worked fine. Now I can fine-tune my speed just like I wanted, cheers from Finland!

Don my OBD11 screen looks very different to this. it has a long coding option, but no "coding". and when I select that then all the instructions change to german. any idea how I can do this via the long coding?

The A6 is on the MLB Platform this thread is about the MQB Platform so they are not the same car.
Happy to be proved wrong
