Hi, I am looking for a way to code automatic rain closing windows. I have found the way for older model, but it's not applicable to 2017 model because channels names are changed. So does anyone know how to code it ??

^^^hmmm............ the tweak instructions are pretty-much the same - the only real change is that whereas in previous models the 3 x adaptation channels in the hex09 module had a parent name Access control 2, in the new hex09 module this parent name is ZV Komfort.
So - simply search for the new parent name in the adaptation screen and otherwise just proceed as per the old instruction Don

^^^ Probably not working because of the type of rain-light-sensor on the car. This has been a notoriously difficult tweak to successfully implement on MQB platform vehicles (across VW and Audi models). Some can get auto-rain close to work while many others can't! The general consensus is that the car needs a particular type of rain sensor for this tweak.
There are 3 x models in use: RLS, RLHS and RLFS. IIRC, I think that those that have been successful have had RLHS? But problems have still occurred in cases where RLHS is installed.
Anyway, if your scan reports "RLS", or "RLFS" as a subsystem in the hex09 module - you will have more success finding an answer to the meaning of life and everything (which ain't "42")!!! Don

Hi, I got it yesterday in my 2017 g-tron. Control Unit 09 Security access code: 31347 Find: ZV Komfort Regenschliessen_ein_aus > Active Regenschliessen_art > Permanent Menüsteuerung regenschliessen > Active Comfort opening > ON Comfort closure > ON Find: Schiebedach SAD Komfort öffnen > ON SAD Komfort schlissen > ON Open the subsystem 6397_RLFS On byte 0, activate bit 1 and bit 2. Reset MMI (nav + radio + central button) and verify in the menu that the rain sensor is activated. That's all folks

^^^Jay: As I have repeatedly indicated throughout this thread- this is a problematic tweak on some cars and on other vehicles, it works!
Bottom line and assuming your car is MQB platform built - try it and see if it works on your sensor. If it doesn't -revert the settings back

I have a question, i applied the above adaption and my rain sensor wipers did not activate....i had them activated at one point as my 2019 Jetta sel premium has the camera
Any idea if the coding is different on my car and if so how i would get the auto wipers front working ?

I made the change, it works perfectly but it does not appear on the MMI menu "rain sensor". How to solve? Thanks. Claudio

To add the rain closing option to the mmi is this adaptation:
Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen: active
You will need to reboot your MMI for it to appear.

Don Hello there, so I’m trying to go into central unit so I can long code my sunroof for auto rain detection. When I go into long coding, it tells me there is no item available. I see people saying you have to enter a code but I’m. It getting any option to enter a code. Am I doing something wrong?

When you go to central electronics, control unit 9, you have security access tab. Here you enter login code 31347

Am I doing something wrong? sh3rman: OK - so you need to separate the 2 x modules in your mind; the central electrics module is the Master module for what's known as "LIN communication" and the Rain/Light Sensor ( RLS) module in my screen shots that you included in your post is the Slave module.
So the 2 x modules have a master/slave relationship (OBD11 calls this a "Subsystem" relationship) and they are entirely separate modules.
The long-code changes needed for the auto-rain close tweak relate ONLY to the RLS module - no long-code changes are required to the central electrics module (which in any event DOES NOT have a long-code facility on your car - as you have said)

Sorry I replied to the wrong person
Although I have a 2018 RS3... I believe I have done everything by the book here and still seem to not be able to get this working. Am I missing anything else?

Hi, where can I find the ZV Komfort ? and the security access code apparently is not valid, I am given 3 options when accessing the "Security Access" and I chose the first one and it accepted it but nothing else happened. I am using the latest OBD11 with PRO plan. Thanks

dragan11o, Control Unit 09 (hex09) -> Adaptation -> ZV Komfort. For me, the first login code worked properly (31347).
