Hey guys, Just received my OBD Eleven and I was hoping to use Adaptions to activate the horn on lock, however, I couldn't see the option and then found the following instructions on this site: Lock Acknowlegde with Horn Horn When Locked Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Byte 5 Bit 1 Activate Read more: forum.obdeleven.com/thread/157/coding-adaptations#ixzz60BTrn9VfHowever, I haven't ever done this before so a little bit nervous. Can someone tell me how to make a copy of all the settings so far, so that I have a backup, also, I would really appreciate if someone could share a step by step with images or a video? Please note, it is a UK 2014 S4 if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

I tried coding the car so that it horned on beep, however, I could not see Bit 1 on Byte 5. Am I doing something wrong or does the UK S4 not support this feature?

Ah OK that makes sense. Thank you for replying. Just gave it another go, checked bit 1 and held the green button. Then got the (31) Function not available error...

Your car does have a theft alarm system?

Thanks for the reply and yes literally went and triggered the alarm now and it's working fine. Really confused as it seemed like a very simple, easy mod. Would really appreciate any help with this.
Please note I have also cleared the app data and it was the same outcome.
I have heard security code mentioned but as far as I am aware a security code isn't required for activating the horn.
Another note that may be of relevance is that I have a Auto watch Ghost immobiliser installed. Can this cause the issue?

wouldnt of thought it was ghost as obd11 connects,
But you should enter the security code before doing any changing
The whole mod is
Lock Acknowlegde with Horn Horn When Locked Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Byte 5 Bit 1 Activate
Horn When UnLocked Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Byte 5 Bit 4 Activate
Controlling in MMI Menu Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Byte 5 Bit 2 De-Activate

Thanks for the reply, do you know what the security code is? This link; forum.obdeleven.com/thread/157/coding-adaptations suggests that a security code is not required as otherwise I would have assumed every instruction would contain the access code, whereas at the moment it seems specific tasks then tell you the required access code. I may be wrong though...

So as an update, I have put the Ghost immobiliser in valet mode which means that it does not intervene. However, unfortunately, I can still not long code
