Looking for advice on my 2019 RS3. I am unable to make any changes at all. I can see all the fields in the control modules, but when I change a value and press the button to save, nothing happens. No adaptation accepted message, nothing. When I exit the control module and go back in, it’s the original value.
I tried going into security settings for the module first and entering a code (31347 and others tried), but it gives me a message that something went wrong. Won’t take any codes.
Did something change on the 2019’s, using different codes or something?
I’d love any suggestions or at least confirmation from a 2019 RS3 owner that they were able to make changes with OBD11 successfully!
Thanks, Ed

^^^ hmm............. very odd. Can you successfully scan the modules (i.e. do the modules actually communicate with the OBD11 dongle)? Can you successfully do any "Live Data" tests? Try one of the lights (perhaps the turn signal) on the Central electrics module @ address hex09.
Don PS: I assume that you have the PRO device

I can scan the modules, and clear faults. I tried the live data test you recommended and it worked perfectly. Still completely unable to modify anything though, not through apps, long coding, adaptation, etc.

^^^^ OK- so the dongle is communicating correctly with the suite of control modules in the car and the CAN bus reports are successfully being received by the OBD11 software on your tablet/mobile-phone.
Hmm..... there doesn't appear to be a technical problem with comms capabilities, but there is clearly an access problem. Sounds suspiciously like you might have an admin issue - perhaps your registration isn't correct (I think, or rather I guess)
When you received your dongle - you would have gotten a small white "patch" that contained your personal PRO activation code.
If you registered your PRO activation code correctly when you first created your OBD11 account - you should see the word "PRO" next to the place where your photo is displayed on the "OPTIONS" screen
Please check this using the screenshot instructions that I have included below - is the PRO option active on your account?

Yes, my app does display ‘PRO’ there. Also, the OBD11 worked perfectly on my 2018 R. Coding changes never gave me an issue on that car. It’s really seeming to me like I don’t have permissions/security access to do anything on this car.

That is so odd... I haven’t tried opening the hood, but I’ll give it a go tonight. Can’t hurt!

Thanks again for this! It worked perfectly now! Surprisingly, once I started doing the changes (after opening the hood) I had to close it again to have some of the comfort/convenience adaptations save. It’s so strange that they are using the hood sensor as a security measure.... Got probably half of the changes I wanted to make done already, the other 50% aren’t working but I suspect some may not be possible on 2019’s and others may not have been discovered yet.
