I'm not sure how prevalent the (very) annoying "nag screen" on Audi A3/8V SATNAVs is - on cars in other parts of the world, but here in the Antipodes I find it very irritating.
The screen that I'm referring-to is the one that warns the driver that Audi has a data privacy policy when using GPS information services and the driver can opt-out if he/she acknowledges the screen. Yes, I know that if the driver does nothing, the message eventually clears - but I still find the pop-up message infuriating and I wanted it gone!!
So here's what I did -others with my limited capacity to tolerate pop-up screens when driving might want to do the same!

I am keen to stop this too.
Did it change anything else?

Amazing been searching for this for ages, don't have our OBD11 yet but we were able to do the same with Vagcom and get it done.
Very much appreciated to the OP

Hi Don,
Apologies for opening an old thread but I am currently quite annoyed with the Audi MMI Privacy Note pop up on my 2018 Audi S3. I've followed your steps however, I am unable to find Popup_ifGPS_services_in_use. The closest settings I could find is "Deactivation/activation of pop-up for active tracking services", assuming it means a similar thing. When I click into it, it says "There are no items available for this option". Do you have any idea how to work around this? Say through long coding or smth. Cheers.

hmm.......... not really sure why you can't find the channel - I developed the tweak on a MY18 Audi A3/8V, but it was a Rest-of-World (RoW) model. Clearly from the replies in this thread, the tweak has worked on other car.
Maybe stuff is done differently in your part of this lonely blue planet. Is this car a "Yankee" (NAR) model - what country is this? Have you created a Back-up for the hex5F module on this car? If so, please post-up a copy. If not, do THIS, for iOS, or THIS for Android.
To export the Back-up file, go to History then do this:

Hi Don, I think I have managed to disable it. I have the iOS version of OBDeleven so it looked slightly different from the pictures you've posted and that threw me off . I deactivated the pop up last night and it didn't show up this morning so great news! I'm in Perth, Western Australia by the way so your tweak definitely works! Cheers.
