Hi,
ive created a bit of a problem with coding and don’t know how to fix it.
i was using the app to change some long coding and somehow stuffed up and deleted the headlight basic setting.
i now get the error message on start ”Audi adaptive light fault”
when i I use the app to try to fix the issue with the headlight basic setting app it keeps saying to turn the ignition off and I can’t access the reset.
under faults in the multifunction module it say
Databus Missing message and Headlight - No basic setting
can anyone help me to repair what I’ve done and get the fault to go away. If I just use the reset all faults function it does nothing
thanks

Hi, Any update on this matter I have the same issue Regards Have you tried doing this?:
Make sure the car is on level ground and that the suspension is settled
Procedure 1
- Select the module
- Select Basic Settings
- Select Basic headlamp setting and start the procedure
- This is where you would adjust the headlights using their manual adjusting screws as referenced against a suitable aiming target - but in your case go to the next step
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
Procedure 2 (still in Basic Bettings)
- Select Acknowledge basic setting and start the procedure
- The reference settings from Procedure 1 above should now be "recorded" in the module
- Wait a period of time (suggest 3 seconds)- then stop the procedure
- Back-out of the module, clear any error codes and exit OBD11 software (don't forget to disconnect the OBD11 dongle)

Bringing this one back - dv52 - I am using OBDeleven with iOS - The two procedures you outlined below are not the way it appears to me when I attempt the programming.
I am able to select Module 9 - then I got to BASIC Settings - it immediately asks me for a Channel number - I know the channel number for the headlight adjustments is channel 11. It then gives me a green slide bar to start the procedure - once I do that, the bar turns red and says slide to stop.
There are no options to acknowledge basic setting etc. when I hit back it take me back to the "main menu" for module 9....
Any help?

a2andres : hmm.............. this part of the forum is for the FF version of the Audi A3 8V - and specifically, those cars built between 2017 and 2019.
ALL these cars are equipped with modules that use the newer protocols called "UDS/ODX" - which replaced the old numbering system with words.
I suggest that you ask your question again in the correct part of the forum for your car.
