Hi I did the mod to switch on the bleep when arming the alarm and at first I thought it had not done it but on listening very carefully I can hear a noise, but is there any way to increase the volume?

I know i just wanted to make sure that you coded the feature itself properly. I just found this. Take a closer look at point 15. You can enable your horn to give you feedback.

Thanks for your input but I am new to this coding! I have switched the Lock/unlock of the "Lock/Unlock acoustic conformation" on OBD Eleven Apps and at first I did not think it had worked, but someone suggested to do a factory reset which I did (but had to set up all the Bluetooth, radio settings etc and still did not think it had worked but when I had a close listen I heard it but not very loud so was hoping there was a code with a volume settings

I think there's no way to increase that volume. If no DWA + equipment is available, the vehicle horn can also be activated / unlocked as a signal generator! That's what i wanted to tell you because your horn should be loud enough

Hi Again Yes I thought that , I can get to: Select STG 09 (vehicle electrical system) STG access authorization -> function 16 Enter release code 31347 and enter the code but then cannot find : STG adaptation -> function 10 (1) Select Feedback Signals - Unlock Acoustic Feedback Value to yes (2) Select Feedback Signals - Lock Acoustic Feedback Value to yes So this where I get stuck ! OK So in OBD11 Language this is. Log on to Car Select Control unit: 09 Central Electrics Select Adaptation From the long list you can type in Acknowledgement signals and this will bring up a menut Select Unlock Acoustic Feedback or if in German then Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln change value to Yes and hit green button to save
If when you go to save you get a pop up box asking for a code enter 31347
Select Lock Acoustic Feedback or if in German then Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln Change value to Yes and hit green button to save. If when you go to save you get a pop up box asking for a code enter 31347Now you can exit Then go to Car Settings Menu and do a factory Reset. If all the values are already set as above then not sure as there is not way to change the value. Have you tested your horn does it work properly. Have you run a scan to see if you have any errors reported.

Hi Again sorry that I have not back to you before but I have to wait till the wife gets home in the car. anyway Went through as per you instructions to the word and get to the "Unlock Acoustic feedback" (well it is in German) and the value is "active" so did not change it and of course did not ask me for the code, but I have done a factory reset but still no horn sound, and yes I have tried the horn and it works ok and no errors when scanned

For some reason there is a lot of problems with this code on facelift cars.
Do you have a factory fitted alarm.

On my pre facelift car the beeb is not the car horn its another sound device (no idea what), i have always presumed its the alarm siren making the noise.
On the assumption you have internal sensors lock the car with window open, wave your arm around inside and see if the alarm goes off and makes a loud noise. If it does then you know both Alarm and Horn are working fine this coding (and I am not aware of any volume control for it) does not work on your car.
I have had the same issue with a guy who has a Audi A1 all the usual stuff dont fix it.

I have had the same issue with a guy who has a Audi A1 all the usual stuff dont fix it. Hi I assume mine is the facelift version it is a July 2017 version and I assume the bleep is coming from the alarm but cannot understand why it is very low in noise on my previous car a VRS I had the bleep and it was loud enough to hear it and so you knew it had locked (and alarmed the car) and that was turned on via Vag-Com and I do believe there was some different settings and if I remember it was the German setting that was the loudest. And as far as the alarm test goes yes I had already tried that and yes it makes a noise when it is triggered. So unless I can get a coding to lift the volume of the bleep I think I will leave it as it is, but thanks anyway Steve

Not seen any coding for volume and mine works just fine.
The only other things to suggest if take a backup to excel and have a look through the settings to see if there is anything obvious.
Check your car settings menu to see if there is anything that you can set there.
Sorry we could not help.

yes this is what i need.
Firstly under Acknowledgement signals
Akustische Rueckmeldung global: active thats as we want it Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln: not active - try changing this to active
Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln: active thats as we want it
Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Menu control acoustic feedback): not active - change to active and see what menu you get in the car settings
Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn: not active - I think this is the problem, on my car its set to active buy you may have to do factory reset to turn it on
Let me know how that goes.

I had a pre-FL and there the mod worked just fine and loud and clear. Now I have a FL car and sometimes it chirps, sometimes it doesn't, and when it does it is maybe half as loud as my old car.

Ron, my facelift is just the same as the OP’s, all. I get is a very low volume chirp and on the odd occasion nothing at all. I am beginning to think all the facelifts will be the same
