and also have connection problem 5 out of 10 times. it keeps saying connecting or after connected, loading data wont disappear. had to disconnect obdeleven from obdII couple of times to solve this problem.

UDS subsytems coding is still not available. So We can not perform rain closing with obdeleven. Right?

I think what the admin folk are saying about this tweak is that OBD11 can't access "slave" modules as yet!
Not sure if you are aware, but the network arrangement for CAN bus vehicles has "secondary"control modules that operate as a "slave" to the primary control module. The "central electrics" control module in OBD11 has a couple of "slave" control modules. The Rain Light Sensor (RLS), or Rain Light Humidity Sensor (RLHS/RLFS) are configured on the mk7 CAN network as a slave modules. OBD11 can't as yet access these slave modules, so the auto Rain close tweak can't be done yet with OBD11. This said, there are many folk who can't get this tweak to work using a VCDS cable - so don't be too disappointed!! Don

<abbr>Thanks Don. I suspected this was the case. I found your guide for this tweak on VWWatercooled: DV52 Auto Rain Close -mk7 VCDS tweak I was prepared to do all 3 Parts, but when I went to set the bits in the RLFS slave module in Part 1, I could not figure out how to browse down to it. Guess I'll have to wait for that in the next upgrade? Admin? By the way, I set the adaptation channels in Part 2. Is it OK to leave these changes in until I am able to get Parts 1 and 3 done? Thanks for all your help. Your guides and advise on all these forums is invaluable. </abbr>

Anyone have luck with this tweak on a Golf R? It must work on your car, as I know only RLHS modules doesn't work. You can try perform control unit reset after you change adaptations and coding, to do it go to Central electrics > Reset > Select Ignition off on reset and press OK. Requirements: Lights switch must be on Auto Wipers stalk one position up (auto) Automatic rain closing checked on MIB

I've seen posts from cars with all three sensors (RLS, RLHS and RLFS) from both RoW and NAR models that report problems with this tweak. That said, I have also read (and I've received feedback from colleagues) that there are those who can make this tweak work - I have no idea why this should be so. VCDS cable owners have the same issues, albeit I understand that VCP cable owners don't have the same level of problems.
I wrote a fairly detailed set of instructions for this tweak (see link below) and I've included some feedback at the bottom of the posts from folk that have been successful in getting the tweak to work. Perhaps these "minor" alternative approaches might be of interest?

I tested it with VCP on Passat B8 with senor RLHS and it doesn't work. Admin: I'm not saying that the tweak will always work with a VCP cable - I'm saying that there appear to be less problems when the tweak is done with a VCP cable. But both VCDS and VCP cables still have difficulties making this tweak work (and not just for RLHS vehicle cars). It appears that OBD11 is no better at doing this tweak - conclusion: the problem is not with any of the diagnostic cables (including OBD11), but rather the equipment, or the CAN network arrangement in the car is incompatible with this tweak - I think!!

Hi, attached are screen shots of the information... the RLFS code came from the Briskoda information for setting the rain close. Paul.

No luck, reset with key function, everything flickered, then came on again. opened windows and sunroof, locked car, waited a couple of minutes then poured the watering can over the sensor and no go.

Here is what I did using the OBD11 Automatic Rain Closing 09 - Central Electronics Security Access - 16 Code = 31347 (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus = Active (Rain Closing On / Off) (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art = Permanent (Rain Closing Type) (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen = Active (Driver Assist Rain Closing Menu) 09 - Central Electronics Select RLFS from SubMenu Change Long Code to 07006C Testing: 1) Light Switch in Auto position. 2) Wiper stalk in 1st / Auto position. 3) All windows fully open. 4) Locked car and wait for 2 mins. 5) Spray water on windscreen sensor and bam... windows close Couple of things to note. This does not close the sunroof. Also, after every test I would have to reset the auto up/down function of the windows. Comfort open/close would not work until I did this. I will use this feature so little these little nuances don't bother me. Never mind. I just found them. I can confirm that this works on a 2015 Audi S3. Interesting. What was your long code for the RLFS prior to changing it to 07006C?
Thanks for the feedback. I might try this this weekend. Not sure if I'm a fan of resetting the windows every time though.

lebenfitti: Hi. Of course you can try using a RLS/RLHS/RLFS code that worked on another model to get Auto Rain close tweak to work on a mk7, but it's unlikely to be successful. And you run the risk of the new code conflicting with the sensor's normal operation.
Here's a screen-shot of what the three Bytes in the code-string for the sensor actually do ON A MK7:
So, if you apply the code 07 00 6C, Byte 0 becomes 0000 111 and Byte 1-2 becomes 006C. I've never made this change on my mk7, but I suspect that what will happen is that you will end-up altering the light activation threashold from the Byte 0 change and you will tell the Central Electronics control module that the car is a 2015 Audi A3 from the new setting in Byte 1-2. Importantly for the Rain closing tweak, none of Bits in the lower-nibble (i.e. Bits 0,1,2 or 3) of Byte 0 will be changed.
As I said, try the cross model coding change if you want, it might just work (and you can always restore the coding if it goes pear-shape)
Don

Thanks, Don. Yeah, I get that byte 0 increases by a value of 6 by turning bits 1 and 2 on. My assumption was that his long code changed from 01006C to 07006C. My long code was changed from 90A8DD to 96A8DD, but no luck yet.

I did manage to enable Rain close on my MY2015 Golf, but it only works for windows, sadly it doesn't work for sunroof Am I doing anything wrong or is this just not possible with RFLS sensor?
