This is a guide to enable the RS Monitor on A3 or S3 8Y models. Keep the hood open and when asked (if asked) unlock the SFD. On Control Unit 5F- Long Coding
- Bit Mode
- Byte Index 5
- Bit 0 should be 0 (unchecked) by default, set it to 1 (checked)
Then we need to restart the MMI, with engine on press with 2 fingers the clock on the top-right of the MMI screen, then select restart to normal mode.
Hope this guide is useful.

Hmm, on my S3 is Byte 05 and bit 1 already Set to on (checked) by default with no Monitor. Or do you mean bit 0 to change? Maybe do you have a Screenshot?

I used this:
Module : 5F
Long-Coding -> vehicle_type_power_stage_1 -> Yes to -> No Long-Coding -> vehicle_type_power_stage_2 -> No to Yes
Adaptation > Vehicle Menu Operation:
menu_display_SportHMI -> yes menu_display_SportHMI_over_threshold_high -> yes
Its pretty useless really, but does show the temps for engine oil, coolant and gearbox oil.

I'm not sure what the power stages mean, but S3 is Power stage 1, RS3 is Power stage 2. I've not been brave enough to check power stage 3 !
It doesn't seem to affect anything other than the RS monitor.
It would be helpful to see on your vehicle, check the long-coding (use the OBD list - first icon, not the binary icon), to see what your power stage is set to - the OBD list should map to the same Binary settings)

My A3 has power stage 2 active after that bit change, so seems to be this settings.

But does that also mean that byte 05 bit 1 has to be deactivated, otherwise stages 1 and 2 are activated at the same time? Factory setting: Byte 05 bit 0 disabled Byte 05 bit 1 enabled
I do not think that this is be done without deactivatr bit 1 like in your Screenshot or via List like Mat told.

Did you noticed if torque gauge shows 20-21% torque as maximum value after this coding?

Not in my case, gauge meter works correctly for me.

With my car it is about max 53%. But the power is 100%. So I was already wondering if it is possible to calibrate that somehow. If someone knows anything about it I would like to know

The torque/power monitor seems to work only in TDI models.

What do you mean by TDI? I have the 35TFSI MHEV. Power works fine, torque only goes up to 50-ish%/

But maybe there is a way to calibrate the torque.

My car is a 2020 S3 and used to work fine, but recently I've noticed that torque only max to 22%. As I said before, it used to work perfectly before (didn't remember when)
