Just recently had my timing chain and tensioners replaced due to failed tensioners/guides causing a rubbing noise around 1200-1600rpm. Before having the chain replaced I used odb11 to measure chain stretch using live data camshaft adaptation intake bank 1 phase position and it was reading -2.60 when warm at idle, so wasn't stretched so much. Now since having the new chains and tensioners fitted the reading is around +3 which lowers slightly when the engine is revved. I have only covered 300 miles on the new chain should I be concerned as I thought the camshaft adaptation phase position reading should be close to 0.0 on a new fitted chain!?

I looked for this reading on my 2012 A6 3.OT but couldn't find it, I'll check again to see if I can find that camshaft adaption phase ..I have the chain rattle during start up
