I have a '24 and there is an option in the MMI for three different cockpit screens and one of them is sport. I didn't need OBD11 to change it. Did you mean something different?

I now know what you mean and I unlocked it yesterday. Here's what you need to do:
ENABLE NEW MENU "SPORT" IN VIRTUAL COCKPIT
After you do this, in Virtual Cockpit, Vehicle Functions menu, steering wheel menu button will show new "Sport" menu and if you select it, it will show a G-meter 17 Dash Board
Long coding
Acceleration display
Old value: No
New value: Yes

Others have posted that for VAG it won't impact your warranty but if you mess something up you may have to pay to repair what you messed up. I don't know where it writes it, but for me this was a harmless change. YMMV

This is different than the Sport mode under Virtual Cockpit. The G force display only works if you have the accelerometer in the vehicle. I turned it on, but it doesn’t do anything.
Does anyone know how to get the Virtual Cockpit to show the different modes with configure option?
