dv52 (Australia) , Hi, I'm really sorry about the confusion regarding the previous post. 1st I would like to enable gauge-pod(additional installed) to run with this link ( www.newbeetlepr.com/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=4842&sid=61515ca28e4ce1556a30d4062167c928&view=print ) . As per your suggestion , I just need to add hexB9 into the gateway - then clear any errors. See - imgur.com/XO9LSZO Unfortunately , I cannot enter to the gateway using OBDeleven as it showing it is not supported. And I recalled that I've changed the head unit (player) to an another model which is MIB STD2 PQ+/NAV Thus, I guess I need to register this new head unit to tell my car system , hey,I'm using MIB STD2, No sure this is to correct way but I need help with this. Thanks in advance. Hi, How do I register a head unit into the system. I recently change another head unit for my VM Beetle 2013. My new head unit is MIB STD2 PQ+/NAV The chassis number from the head unit was different with my read chassis number. Kindly advice.

hmm.... I'm not sure what you mean. Why can't you access the Gateway - your car does have a gateway (because it's shown in the instructions in your link)? If the car uses a Gateway, it will use a "Gateway Installation list". This installation list has nothing whatsoever to do with what you call the "head unit". It's a completely different facility!
Do you have an OBD11 PRO account? If you don't - you won't be able to do coding

aylwinau9288: Hmm......... it is not possible to use information from one model car and apply it to another model - simply because the different model cars have the same label "VW".
Now, with the caveat that I'm not familiar with the Beetle in all its incarnations over its long history - look at the instructions that you posted in the shout-box and you will notice that the part number of the Gateway module is 7E0-909-901 (look at the VCDS screens). My understanding is that the "7E0" series modules generally pertain to PQ25 platform cars and of particular importance to your car, I believe that these modules do not use UDS protocols (or said another way - these modules are "old school")
Whereas - if you look at the Gateway module on your car - you will see that it has the part number 6R0-907-530F. Again, my understanding is that the "6R0" series modules generally pertain to PQ35 platform cars - which do use UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services - ISO 14229) protocol
Finally, the video in your latest post relates to a Golf mk7. This car is built on a MQB platform!
So, bottom line = PQ25 is not PQ35 is not MQB!

dv52 (Australia) , thank you for the explanation but this look like really need a technical knowledge for this. in conclusion , is there anyway that I can use for gauge pod and reverse camera in my vehicle? Or is that anyway I can fully convert to MQB into my vehicle? Perhaps if you able to help me remotely configuration , I'm happy to pay you for a drink too Thank you in advance.

hmm........ NO - it's not possible (from a practical perspective) to fully upgrade an PQ35 platform car to MQB platform. That said, there are commercial adapters (connector harness) available for matching MIB based equipment between these platforms - like THIS. Now I'm not suggesting that this approach would work on your car - I'm simply not sufficiently familiar with the new Beetle design!!
Maybe you should ask these questions on the Beetle part of this forum?
