Hello
I have added power folding mirrors to my 2018 A3 S Line Cabriolet and now have no sound. Speaker Icon with a slash thru and error. I have read that it is more than likely related to the Component Protection Module and has disabled sound. Does an ODBEleven Pro unit have the ability to reset Component Protection and relearn any new components?

dapurcey : Quiick answer to your specific question is NO - to clear CP errors (at least officially), you need to hook-up the car to Audi's central server and then you need to re-authorize the new module to the car's VIN (both in the car's registers and in the copy of the car's database that sits in Audi's central server). Of course to do this, you need authority to make the connection with Audi's central server - you don't have access rights to make this connection BUT - why would adding folding mirrors trigger CP errors - the door modules on MQB platform cars are NOT part of what VAG call the CP "constellation". Plus, CP initiated muting does NOT show "Speaker Icon with a slash thru and error". If you have a CP initiated error, you will see the words "Component protection" in your scan report. Your deduction that CP is the cause of this problem doesn't make sense!! The fact that you see the speaker icon suggests to me that somehow the car has been instructed to mute the sound (through either a codimg change, or via a mute switch- maybe?) Don
