Hello all, Looking for help in resetting DPF on 2009 Q5 2.0TDI 170bhp. Replaced DPF and tried to do Reset of learned values of particle filter through basic settings and nothing is working, just says not available. Is there a set procedure to follow? Tried with engine running and just ignition. Also tried adaptation but do not know codes. Thanks in advance.

Hi kingocraig, did you resolve this? I have a similar problem on a 2009 A3 with 1.9 TDI. The dpf has been cleaned but I can’t work out how to reset the values. Tried adaptation (obd11 asks which channel, think I used 68 - the one where soot values are listed) but the software states option not available. Do I need to enter a specific passcode?

Update, I've cracked it.
The issue was that the DPF carbon mass value was at 60% (live values, chanel 68) The description in this channel informs that once it reaches 60%, regen is not possible and to replace the dpf. After cleaning the dpf (wynn's off car dpf cleaner) and running for a few miles, the error code P2002 was still logged, the dpf warning light still displaying and the glow plug light flashing (limp mode), the carbon mass alue was still stuck at 60.
The fix was through resetting the carbon mass value in adaptation - channel 12 (dpf). Reset the value to 10% of the logged value (to indicate that the dpf is not new but a clean one - I changed it from 6085 to 608) and bingo! the live value for carbon mass is now 6%.

Hi all, I really dont understand at this stage. Everyone is talking about channel numbers, mass values in %, my version doesn't have any of this. It was an early purchase before pay monthly and it is the PRO version. managed to get "soot mass measured to 36g so now its not in limp mode but will not do a DPF regen. Every time looks good but will not go active and then exit due to safety reasons. Tried different combinations of brake accelerator etc. but no luck. Im gonna buy VCDS,,
