I bought someone’s odb 11 who didn’t give me the user ID and password for the login on the OBDeleven site.
The person allowed me to add my email to his account and gave me the pin.
I realize the seller could likely detach my membership at any point. That risk I am willing to take but could there be some other reason someone sold me to do it this way?
It’s a pro lifetime membership. Was the seller just trying to hook me up for a good deal or can they do something with my ecu information from the website?
Very confused. I don’t think these types of transfers are meant to take place.

I have sold a lifetime pro membership before with no problems. If the seller has put your email address on the account, when you log in using the email details then you will see the account name (which you can change). You just change the password on the account and then the seller can no longer log into the account, you will see any cars he has left but once you have reset password he cant login.
The only bit i have not tried is to remove Facebook etc logins but I am sure you can do that as well.
Hope that makes sense

yes its a bug (one of many) where the email address of the person who set it is used not the current email address.
not tried it but change the pin and then you can ask the systen to email you so you will know its worked.

Thanks. But what about the online version? Can’t the person I bought it from login there? And deactivate my serial?

if online you mean app.obdeleven.com/login then no because you changed your password and the dashboard is for adding credits and plans not removing them as far as i know
