Hi at all, I am new to OBDEleven and thinking about to purchase a adapter. My question to all longterm User of an adapter, can I log Infos into a csv file. Infos like "light is on", "Windows up or down"?

cb00874 : I'm not sure what mean, but OBD11 doesn't produce native .CSV files. Where ever files are produced by OBD11, you have to parse the data via other software to get it to flat file (.CSV) format. A very bright forum colleague ( Thirsty ) is attempting to write a software tool to do this - see here
That said, some modules will report the status of switches like "lights ON/OFF" which OBD11 can access, but this depends on the module itself

dv52 (Australia) don't like to disagree with you but in this case you are partially correct. On Android you can use the Chart function running live data and that data is sent via a .csv file format although they use ; as the delimiter. All other extracts are in .txt format but are easy to parse in tools like excel. However as always with OBD11 they have not yet got charts working on IOS So in that case you cant export live data via charts.

Thank you very much for your answers. I am creating a dashboard for my Android HU in my car. There I would like to have displays when the car doors are open, when the lights are on, ignition is on, speed limits. All signals, but not retrieved in the LiveDiagram, but via the ECUs. Therefore my question if OBDEleven can do that (store data about the signals).

Afraid not have a look at torque Pro that's what I use for HUD on Android

I use Torque Pro too and successfully grab data like Comsumption, Fuel till empty, Speed. But I think, Torque Pro is not able to get data from ECUs which indicate "Windows open/close" or "ignition is on" or sth like this.

I have never explored Torque to that extent but i thought you could add (i think they call them PID) to the list of available items, I know if you look at OBD11 with an Ultimate account you can see values against live data, adaptation, long coding, basic setting etc so maybe its possible to add these to Torque but not my field I am afraid.

Thanks so far, a friend of mine has an ultimate Account. I will have a look, if it is as you mentioned.
