So I have the original OBDeleven dongle. It's worked great for me for years. It quit working sometime last year and never cared to look into it. Today went to play with it, noticed there's obviously something loose inside the dongle. Open it up, and I see the there is one board that should be soldered to the others, and it has come off. Re-soldering it is not an issue for me, the question I have is the solder points. It appears that only 4 contact points were actually soldered from the factory, however I see 10 contact points with the board. Anyone able to verify for me what should actually be soldered? Thanks

hmm.........mine is a very unofficial response - but, the piggy-back board that's connected to the daughter-board is soldered at 5 x points (on 1 x side only) like this: Don

hmm.........mine is a very unofficial response - but, the piggy-back board that's connected to the daughter-board is soldered at 5 x points (on 1 x side only) like this: Don Thanks Don. Appears yours only has the same 4 as well, as that middle one is not actually soldered. Looks like I'll have to do something similar with the traces brought to the back side of the board as the contact pads are ripped off. But that's not an issue. The connection on the top left of your picture looks like its just a ground connection, so I think I'll connect it as well to give the board some more strength. I'm waiting for my soldering kit to arrive, so I'll see what everyone else has on their boards, or if I'll get an official response from OBDeleven. Realistically though, because of how its seated anyways, those unsoldered points are still making electrical contact anyways, even though its a poor connection. So I MAY just solder everything anyways to help secure the board to the other one.
