in the comfort module(46) I can reset the remote fob with channel 0
in channel 1 I can add 1 key and when i press the unlock button the lights blink, either remote fob will do this.
if I try to add a second key it does not work. If I understand the direction correctly you have to write a 2 in channel 1 to add a second key and the press the unlock button. 3 and 4 for the third and fourth key.
I also tried the door way but that does not seem to react at all to the commands. so open car use valet key to turn on car but not start it. close door and lock door with key press unlock button once the horn should sound or lights should blink but it does not. press unlock again, first remote 1 time turn off car check if it works
only difference for second third and fourth remote is the amount of unlock presses after the horn sounded.
If someone has a clue on what to do, i'd appreciate it.
p.s. one of the remotes does register as the first key but does not actually function as a remote and i have not been able to synchronize it either. the other fob works correctly if i register it as the first key and just to add info I cannot register this working key as a second third or fourth key either.
I have no MIL light on and sadly one error in the dashboard module(17) 16346 - Control module Faulty static. this happened a long time ago(100 000miles) way before i owned the car. The dashboard seems to function fine and having only 1 working key fob remote is not a good enough reason to spend ridiculous amounts of money on a new dashboard, but i would like to have two functioning remotes.

I have one remote that will work and one that will not in my A3 8P 2005. If I reset all remotes in 00 I can get the 'working' remote to work again in 010, provided I pair that one first. The 'non working' remote will register as the first key but the setting will not 'stick' and the 'working' remote won't then pair as the 2nd key.
I thought it was the 2nd key that is faulty but I'm not sure.
When I select 2 or 002 in adaption 10 the value changes to 2 on test but as soon as I apply/save it reverts to 1. The same thing happens in OBDeleven AND VCDS (when a local garage tried)
It's as if the 'working' remote isn't clearing fully on remote reset, blocking the addition of the 2nd key.
I have some other options to explore in Meas. Blocks - 08 but the instructions are for VCDS. How do I access Meas. Blocks in OBDeleven Pro?
I'm aware that the immobiliser setting is a separate process and both my remotes will start the car. How do I find the PIN for the immobiliser section to check the settings for peace of mind?

I have the same problem... I cannot enter value "2" into channel 001. Also, even when I enter value "1" and I hold the green check mark and press the remote fob button, nothing happens. I cannot pair my remotes with OBDeleven after replacing my central electronics module

I finally got this to work with 3 remote fobs on my 2006 Jetta. In the comfort module(46), adaptations, in channel 00, I reset all the remote fobs by pressing and holding the green check mark 1a. In the comfort module(46), adaptations, in channel 01, enter 1 into the new value field and press the green check mark (do not press and hold) 1b. Press the unlock button on the first remote 2a. In the comfort module(46), adaptations, in channel 01, enter 1 into the new value field and press the green check mark (do not press and hold) 2b. Press the unlock button on the second remote 3a. In the comfort module(46), adaptations, in channel 01, enter 1 into the new value field and press the green check mark (do not press and hold) 3b. Press the unlock button on the thrid remote At this point I might have pressed and held the green check mark, but not sure. And I'm not going to try this again since I've spent the last 24 hours on a off trying all sorts of variations and stumbled on this one. tried in various forms still no go.
Dilbert I suppose all your keyfobs would successfully register as the first keyfob?
Which is something my second keyfob does not.
I am actually surprised your way works, did the signal lights blink when you register the keys or there is no feedback from the car?

Just kep going without any feedback after each remote.

I just wanted to report in and share my solution to this problem, since I haven't seen any solutions that have worked for me anywhere else after installing a new comfort control module (I have an 8H S4, but it probably works the same for others). When in adaptation channel 21, I entered the value 5 and held save to clear out the saved keys. Not sure if that is necessary, but it's probably a good idea to have a clean start before programming the keys. Then, I entered the number of the key that I wanted to program (1 for key 1, 2 for key 2, etc.). *Before attempting to save* hold down the unlock button on the remote (lock probably works too) right before--and during--saving the adaptation. It seems it only saves the adaptation if the car senses the remote while attempting the save. I hope this works for anyone else having an issue saving their remotes!

I just attempted this and realized that testing the functionality of the reprogrammed fobs requires the ignition key to be removed. So if you follow the steps listed below, including the programming of a second key using the door method, you have to remove the key from the ignition to see if it works.

Successfully programmed 2 remotes on MKV VW Rabbit using OBD Eleven.
I even verified twice that it worked. This is the only thread I could find about this and it almost got me there but not all the way. So here's how I got it to work.
1. Go to channel 0 reset 2. Go to channel 1 enter 1 3. Press and hold green check 4. Press unlock on fob 1 until hazards blink 5. Enter 1 again and hold green check 6. Press unlock on fob 2 until hazards blink 7. Remove key from ignition
Try both fobs. Should work now!
This method should work on more keys but I haven't verified.

Thanks, I will give this a try later today.
I was trying to program 2 remotes on my 2008 GTI. I could not get the value to change to 2. When saving the value I would get success, but only 1 remote would program at any given time. The value also reverted back to 1.

Thanks for sharing. I currently have a 2016 Q5 with the push button start. I am curious if this is also what you have. I am afraid to reset both and lose the only working fob I have as I have contacted 4 locksmiths and all say they cannot help me program my key. So I purchased the OBDeleven in hopes that I could do it myself, but am afraid to mess it up worse. I'd hate to have to have the car towed to the dealer 30 miles away just to get the car to work, not to mention my wife wouldn't be too happy with me. Thanks in advance!
