I have CH / LH activated on my Audi A3 8V FL 2018. When it’s dark the low beams are shining and everything is fine. But at day no lights are shining. Can I code that at day the DRL go on?
Thanks, Tim

Tim: I'm surprised that an Audi A3 8V FL 2018 doesn't have DRLs as factory delivered! I suspect that the problem might be that the car doesn't have a Light sensor installed on the windshield and that the rotary light switch on the dash doesn't have an AUTO position (maybe?). Please confirm.

All A3 have drls as standard. But not all have auto lights switch. I assume you want to use ch/lh function to work in daylight also.? It's possible to use ch/lh drls as only lights, to do that you need to code out low beams. As far for sensitivity coding for lights to come earlier (ch/lh) (early, normal, late) (or to code them to always active don't know if it's possible. Checkout vw golf 7, or seat leon forums there are more info how to set up lights channels and options.

Thanks for your answers.
Yes, my Audi has DRL and a light sensor. I just want the CH LH function to work at daylight (with the DRL) too.
I will check the Golf 7 and seat Leon forums.

timmath97 : OK - if you have the "normal" equipment for an A3 - it is possible to involve the DRL in the CH/LH function (either together-with, or instead-of the low-beams). But how this is done depends on how your central electrics module has been factory programmed. Please post-up pictures of the following Leutche-sets: Leuchte4TFL LB4 Leuchte2SL VLB10
To be clear - I need to see ALL 19 x adaptation channels for each Leuchte-set in the pictures.
Also- if you want to disable the CH/LH function from the low-beams, I need to see pictures of Leuchte6ABL LC5

Thanks, Tim Try this coding: Unit 09 - Long coding - Lh with brightness- set Active. or Unit 09 - Long coding - Byte 7 and Bit 4 (On).

Hi there, I have a 2014 Audi A3 8V and was wanting help to code a few things to do with the CH/LH lights. 1. Only have the DRLs come on instead of the DRLs AND fog lights 2. Have the CH/LH function active when light switch is in AUTO position (light sensor) at night AND during the day Any help would be awesome. TIA

jasonuttam : Hi. For "1" - this depends on how the car was optioned when built. If you want to proceed, post up screenshots for Leuchte12NL LB45. To be clear - I need to see ALL 19 x adaptation channels for the Leuchte-set in the pictures.
For "2" - I don't believe the change is possible because the CH/LH function is fundamentally tied to ambient light conditions. You could try a pseudo form of CH/LH which illuminates the exterior lights to the operation of the cabin lights - but this results in other limitations Don

Hi dv52 (Australia), Thanks for the quick reply! Please see attached images of Leuchte12NL LB45. I understand what you’re saying about ‘2’. What you’re suggesting may very well be above my skill level haha. Thank you!

Hi again Don,
Just thinking about ‘2’, is there a way we could program DRLs to come on for say 30 seconds with remote unlock?
Cheers

Jason: hmm............... I'm confused!!
Your screenshots show how the front left-side fog-light is programmed and by deduction, I can tell how the front right-side fog-light is also programmed! Guess-what? There is no DRL lighting function programmed into these lamps, at all!! These 2 x lamps are set to operate the fog-light function and the CH/LH function- ONLY. Alas therefore, I'm baffled, befuddled, bemused, bewildered, confounded, lost (and many more other synonyms)!! If I re-read your first post - you say that points "1" & "2" are related to the CH/LH function. However, your point "1" is about the DRL function (which of course is different). I read this to mean that you wanted the DRL function on the front fogs to be gone. But your screenshots indicated that the front fogs DON'T operate as DRLs!!
Maybe re-write your wants about point "1", but this time using different (and more) words - please?
As for your further question regarding "2" - I'm not aware of a way of extending the auto-lock lighting function (which is really a "lamp-flash" activity) as you request. Maybe someone else can suggest a method?

Hi Don,
Sorry to have caused such a confusion!
I will explain once more to hopefully clarify it all. I’ll break it down to what currently happens and what I’m trying to achieve. I’ll keep it simple and only talk about point ‘1’.
Current: When it’s dark outside and I unlock my car. The indicators flash (as normal) and then my rear taillight LEDs, DRLs and fog lights all come on for a period of less than one minute approximately.
Similarly, when I have been driving at night and I turn of my ignition to exit the vehicle, the above lights are triggered again when I open my door and stay on for a period of less than a minute.
What I want to achieve: Similar to the above, I’d want it to happen exactly like that except, I don’t want the fog lights to turn on. I’d prefer if it was only the rear taillight LEDs and the front DRLs.
Hope this makes a little more sense.
Thanks for your help!
Jason

Jason: arrrhhhh.......... that's much more better-er!! Now I understand! Based on the clarification in your latest words - I believe that you simply want the fog-lights to NOT participate in the CH/LH function To deactivate CH/LH on the front fog-light lamps, do this for Leuchte12NL LB45 and Leuchte13NL RB5: - Lichtfunktion C 12 > nicht aktiv (Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv)
- Dimmwert CD > 0 (100)
- Dimming direction CD > minimize
Note: the values in brackets above should be your existing settings - make sure that you see the bracketed values in the OBD11 screens before making the changes

Hi Don, Unfortunately it didn’t work. The fog lights came on when the car unlocked along with the DRLs. These are the settings that I tried. Any more suggestions? Cheers, Jason

***UPDATE***
Hi Don,
I managed to get it working with some instructions your provided to a fellow user enquiring about a similar function.
Lichtfunktion C 12 - Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv Dimmwert CD 12 - 0 Dimming Direction CD 12 - Minimize
The above worked so I did the same on Leuchte13NL RB5.
Thanks again for all your help!
