Hi all,
I have the U.S model S3 8v. My front license plate is attached to my tow hook rather than in the middle of my grill. Because of that, my front right sensor always goes off due to the license plate being so close to it. Is there a way to disable my parking sensors? The noise gets aggravating after a bit. I've even lowered the volume of it but it's still loud. Thank you!

I've not seen this problem - but what happens if you change the activation of the park-assist function from "automatic" to "manual"? Of course this means that park-assist will need to be manually enabled (via the button on the center console) when needed - but hopefully in manual mode, the proximity sensors won't be active any other time (maybe?). There is a software switch in the long-code string for the parking assistant module that controls the automatic/manual switching facility (it's Byte 3, Bit 4) - but I suspect that the value of this software switch mimics the driver's selection on the infotainment unit (i.e. the MMI).
It's in the owner's manual - but manual operation of the park assist function is done like this: - Select in the Infotainment system MENU button > Vehicle > left control button > Driver assistance> Parking aid> un-tick "Activate automatically".
