Hi All. Just purchased the Next Gen Pro OBD11. Downloaded the app from Play Store then opened the obd11 app. "IMPORTANT Download the latest version..." forgot what came next., something about 5 or 6. Thought I'd login and that would help, login I thought would be the details I used when I bought the device, seems not as I had to register on the app itself. Anyway I eventually opened the app and found the software version is 0.26.1 and no link to update it.
So is 0.26.1 the latest software and if not where do you get it?
I read the manual thinking there must be a paper shortage in Lithuania as I needed a magnifier to read it as it was so small. If the update is so important is it safe to plug in and connect without updating? Perhaps it will update itself by the time I get to plug it in!

26.1 is the latest version and like many apps it should auto update going forward.
The first screen was to let you know the app will only work on devises with android 5 or higher but previously it was a lower version

Thank you, that makes sense. I am using Samsung A40 which is running android 10 so that will be okay. I have yet to plug it in to my car but am wondering if I should run a scan first or run a system backup first? System backup seems best to me. Regards

To be fair as this will be the first time you have used it I don't expect it makes any difference as you will not have changed anything.
FYI There are two types of backups, you have the Full Backup, on my car this takes about 30 minutes or you can run a backup individually on each control unit.
The important part is to make sure you have a backup before you make any changes so if things go bad you have a nice fixed point to restore the car to.
