Hi all, Had a quick question that I couldn't find in the forums. Is there a long code for your gauge lights to come on when you have drls on?
Kind regards

^^ ^joker: Hi. Yours is almost a duplicate question from a colleague on the mk7.5 forum. Copy of my reply below: The instrument cluster on a mk7 does illuminate when the DRLs are on (i.e. when the ignition is turned-on and the headlights, or Parking lights are not turned-on). The dashboard uses a photo-transistor to modulate the illumination level according to the amount of light the falls into the cabin. On a mk7 with non AID dashboard, the photo-transistor is located between the "7" and "8" numerals in the tachometer clock - like this: Shine a torch onto the photo-transistor and you will see how the dashboard illumination changes with cabin light levels.
