Hello all, I'm a newbie here. Just picked up an Obdeleven and found some info on this issue but not exactly the same.
I have a 2016 Golf Sportwagen Limitted Edition and wanted my first project to be key fob window opening and closing. I tried following the MK7 instructions posted here but I ran into a snag trying to access the access control 2 module. I have no problem getting into access control 1 or 3, but get the something went wrong message trying to get into 2. I see it just can't get in.
Based on search results I tried clearing app data, restarting my device, and reinstalling the app to no avail. Access control 2 is one of very few things I can't access What am I doing wrong?
Thanks

rich: Hi. There ain't nothing that you are doing wrong!!
If you have a MY16 mk7, the adaptation channel database in the Central electrics module is different to the model for which the instructions pertain. Instead of searching for Access control 2, search for ZV Komfort and the missing channels should appear

Thanks Don So normally I am a lot more tech savy than this but at a loss now. After I first tried this and ran into issues, I searched for zv Komfort as well based of this forum but did not have that channel. Access control 2 does show up in the search but I end up with the somethi g went wrong message.

^^^ rich: hmm...... the database name change that I mentioned in my first response happened around 2016 - so it really depends when the car was built in that year and the country as to whether your hex09 module has the old, or new names.
From your first post, I had assumed that you had the new database - but from your latest reply, it sounds like you have the old database (because your search vector "access control 2" returns values
I now suspect that your error message could be related to the software error for v26.0. Read the ANDROID BUG REPORT on this forum for information about this problem
